But it proves what I've been saying....Not only are MMORPG's possible, but the shift to consoles is definitely in play and happening.

All I need is Guild Wars 2 to the PS3 and I'll be set. :)

I have no idea how this game and the PVP works for this game, But I have the feeling it will be a highly requested feature, and once the balancing and populations get all situated, New PC-PS3 servers will get created so that they will be able to play with and/or against each other.

I can picture it now,
PS3 = Good guys vs PC= Bad guys.

EPIC battles will probably be had. lol

XBOX 360's 2010 retail exclusives are SUB HD, PS3's are HD.

If XBOX 360 had equivalent power, it wouldn't have to do downgrade its latest and greatest to sub HD.

I'm tired of hearing XBOX 360's equiv. power, yet it continues to NOT show it.

I'm a reasonable guy, but if you tell me the sky is brown on a light blue sunny day, I'm gonna tell you that You are wrong, and that's that.

If I'm not mistaken that was a first for consoles...

So, it would seem as though you were mistaken.

Btw...doesn't the PS3 have MLB TV that you can get?

or unheard of.

For instance, I have C&C Red Alert 3 for the PS3. They made a wheel for it. The same could be done for consoles as one option.

But why stop there? There could be multiple UI options made just for the controller accessed right on the Menu Screen.....Choose which one you like better....try em all.

Finally, if you don't want to play with the PS3 controller, you simply can use the default Keyboard and Mouse option.

Especially this gen.

If the game is dynamic enough, they very well could buy and play it. Star Wars is such a franchise that could inspire this

I'm picturing, approx 6 million PC users and 3 million PS3 users.

Who wouldn't like to tap into 50-60 million install base (PS3 will have approx 50 million when game is launched). Like I said, it's business.

So even if you were right, in that only 20% were interested, that...

I mean....If I would have told you last Jan. that a version of Steam would be coming to the PS3 and Valve want PC and PS3 gamers to play together, what would you have said?

It's and even SHORTER stretch to believe EA wants to bring their MMORPG to the PS3....is it not?

1. Because EA is greedy.

2. The MMO Market is being sucked up by WoW and consoles is an easy untapped market for expansion.

3. Consoles are basically PC's, thus they are able to do MMO's more easily than ever.

4. EA has the network infrastructure and granted by Sony to make this happen.

Bottom line, EA wants what Blizzard and Activision have, and if they are gonna try to topple and/or match WoW, the easiest way to to...

But I also believe some others will too.
I have a feeling Star Wars (Bioware) will at some point come to the PS3 because EA is as greedy as ever.

It really doesn't matter whether you particularly want it or not, they are coming.

DCUO
THE AGENCY

Wanna place bets on EVERQUEST 3....Easy money 4 me.

Consoles expand the MMO market....the market that WoW has a 70% lock on, So the games h...

Bioware didn't make either of the console versions of Dragon Age: Origins......EDGE OF REALITY did.

What I've noticed, is that many PC developers, unless they can get do it or get it done easily, they tend to avoid console development....DOUBLY so for the PS3. Call the reasons lazy, financial, or staff and resources...this is generally what I notice....they try and stay in their comfort zone, "go with what they know", so to speak.

But in th...

I've noticed alot of PC developers seem to have trouble or "growing pains" with not only the PS3, but with consoles in general. Bioware didn't make Dragon Age: Origins for the consoles, Edge of Reality did ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... ).

On the plus side, Bioware does have EA to help if need be.

But yeah....I think it's reasonable to expect some kind of g...

But, Bringing the game to console could have brought more revenue to them, possibly staving off their closure and possibly giving them more time to improve.

Lets be real here.....This is a GTA'ish game.....

While PC gamers like GTA, they don't LOVE GTA the same way console peeps do.

In my opinion, this was one of the developers biggest mistakes, if not the biggest.

Not only is their no subscription to worry about, But NCSOFT could probably be granted the same sort of status that Konami, EA, and Valve have so that they could run their own network-servers so there could be cross play between PC and PS3.

Guild Wars is not too simple, but also not too complex.

I think it's even possible for the game to sell even more copies than the PC counterpart.

Since because there's no montly fee, all NCSOFT'...

But you're wrong in your thoughts and assumptions that in order to be successful, WoW has to somehow be defeated.

500,000 consistent subscribers at $15 a month is 90 million dollars.....That's VERY successful to anyone.

Well, anyone except for Blizzard, but you get my point. lol
