HHG said back in April 2010: "Insomniac is prepared and ready to shock us once again and this time
it’s not just Resistance or Ratchet but something else."
Insomniac got angry because he was sniffing around their "multiplatform story"....but it turned out HHG was more right than wrong.
Gotta give the man his props when he's due them.
.
What they didn't tell you is how much in stock Miyamoto gets.
I guarantee you it's more than just $120,000.
Probably gets most of his expenses covered too.
It wasn't a particularly long game and I could get through it easily with the 3 lives without the codes.
Ghost and Goblins was much harder.
Astounding list of games.
Edit...and before anyone says it...NI NO KUNI is not a PS3 exclusive because it's coming out to the DS.
Why have controllers been fine since 1977 and now, suddenly in 2011, they somehow aren't?
These type of hack and slash overhead games have been done on controller and consoles for decades now.
Why SHOULD a "dungeon crawler" type RTS game only be relegated to PC and not console?
I'd like to hear your response please.
It clearly says Microsoft is publishing the console version.
It's that he gets and does really really great interviews.
They didn't even bother to get the game out on time for the PS3 in the first place.
And the game sucked.
Good riddance.
.
But for consoles, it's not today,
And it won't be for next gen either.
Next gen consoles will still have disks.
And any full fledged console that tries it for this or next gen will suffer the SOON TO BE FATE of Onlive.
That's just the way retail works.....that's what I'm saying.
Guess what IPODs and IPHONES and mobile phones have that HD Launch consoles don't?
High margins.
Console makers sell their poduct at a loss, AND retailers don't make much money from them either.
How do I know? Because I used to sell consoles for the 5th and 6th gen, and the margin on them was attrocious. As a commissioned salesman, the only reason I bothered was because I was a gamer ( I specialized in high end Home Theater Audio/Video). Ha...
You can't sell a console and NOT have retail support.
You need the TARGETS, the GAMESTOPS, the BEST BUYS, the WALMARTS.
If they don't back your product, because you have nothing to offer them for software sales potential, then what reason is there for them to even stock your console? NONE, is the answer.
And even if they could convince Best Buys to carry it, can you imagine where it would be.....it would be in the corner in the back of the store all b...
There's been no better use of MLAA than that of what Sony Santa Monica did.
And again, they did it on the Cell Processor.
God Of War 3 looks gorgeous, btw.
The first game to actually make use of it was GOD OF WAR 3 on the PS3...a console....and they made it work with the Cell Processor.
The Cell Processor, even today, is the one CPU that can process the most Flops, even outdoing the greatest i7 chip.
I'm just saying.....innovation can be found in lots of things...consoles included.
When I played the Infamous Demo, I knew the game was a winner.
When I played Killzone Beta, I knew it was a winner.
Mass Effect 2 doesn't even come close.
Maybe its not fair or whatnot, but I expect big things from a game touted so highly.
So far, I'm let down enough to just forget the game altogether, or make it a CRAIGSLIST trade down the line, because I certainly don't want to spend my hard earned money on MEDI...
and the game is overrated.
I'd describe the game as a BAD 3RD Person Shooter with some watered down RPG elements thrown in.
I was not impressed at all and I was let down based on everyone swearing how awesome the game was.
Maybe the story is good, I'm not sure, but the actual gameplay is about as good as a 1st generation game from 2006.
Not impressive.
--my take
That's insane.
At least 1 other guy here was good at NES games.
*wink*
