He screwed up his own drive when he plugged it into a pc and now he is crying. I have the 60gb my ps3 came with a 80gb i upgraded to then the 500gb that i can hook up internaly but is in a external case that works on both my pc and ps3. All of them i can just plug in and they work fine all data intact and playable.
i have 3 hardrives that i can just plug in and they work fine. He screwed it up thats why im laughing.
I do not know about sony official firmware. But i know that if you install dark alex's custom firmware that you can change it on the fly to whatever region you want. so you would be able to play the game no matter where you get it.

I have not tried it but i dont know what you mean by as limited as linux the nice this about linux is that it is not limited at all. If you need help doing something with a distro i know about i could help or if i dont i could give you some sites that could help you along. Linux is what you want and has a very large community of people willing to help like the maker of this xp emulator. Best of its free so if you truly hate it you dont lose out on anything.

im gonna have to agree with harry190 they are not saying the dr. invented blue ray thay are saying that he/she holds the patent on the led for the wavelength blueray works within. since making any product that violates that patent would be against the law they may not be able to sell any product that uses it until the litgation is resolved. this is not sony vs ms this is the dr. vs everybody who may or may not be infringing on the patent.
It will not be good at all this is just emulating windows in linux. It cant do what a pc could. The only reason for this would be for people who do not know how to use linux and do not want to learn so that they could use it for minor things.

Why would they need to do that when xp is fine and vista adds little to nothing except a major performance decrease. Face it you got ripped off i did too. take you hardware half its specs put xp on it and it will perform just as well. until vista is as fast or faster than xp i will not bother to put it back on. I wanted directx 10 so bad but what you lose to get the added features is not worth it.
I dont hate vista because there are that many problems other than the fact that getting decent drivers for most hardware is a deadache. The reason i decided to go back to xp is that vista is slow. simple as that my computer running xp constantly had at least 20 more frames per second on any game that i played. vista is cool and has a lot of nice features but i like to play games. xp is better for playing games simple as that.
