@Michiel Shunning the community because they call me insane, stupid, drunk, dumb and high. Not because they "disagree".
Wow. Amazing community, really, that can't think of actual remakes done in the past that looked almost nothing like the orginal and thus were interesting to play for fans and newcomers alike. I don't know, GC Resident Evil, anyone ? PS4 Resident Evil 2 ? Tomb Raider Anniversary ? Final Fantasy VII Remake ? You guys have zero culture nor imagination or what ?
Looks very similar. I'll pass.
If it can get us 60 fps on PS5 and XSX, I'd say very good for us.
They couldn't bother optimizing their game enough to achieve 60 fps on consoles.
I won't bother playing it.
"Mid-tier still being quite small comparatively after recovering from the ps3/360 era that pretty much wiped the mid-tier out."
This ! I still miss them dearly.
Too bad they didn't mention the specific bonus in the vanilla version that makes you giant in Mercenaries mode. I wonder how different it is to play as Lady D as opposed to simply enabling the bonus giant permanently.
Not sure if ugly monsters from Hell really qualify as "psychological" horror but anyway.
Far Cry 2 may certainly not be the most "fun" game in the series but from a narrative standpoint it definitely is the most interesting of the bunch. FC2 couldn't be further away from the pointless fragfests that the following episodes turned out to be.
Ellie will be trying to "make up for all the bad things she's done", FTWD style.
I can understand that from a technological standpoint it was too hard/complicated/impossible to make PSVR2 compatible with PSVR games. I get that. But it's always sad to see games no longer supported by future hardware, even more so that PSVR games can run fine on PS5. Plus, PSVR2 would have had a huge library of games right at launch... I feel like VR is still too niche to afford to not rely on already existing games.
Many comments marked as "spam" that just expressed how we expect "original" to mean "very much woke"
I feel like my performance is improving.
After reading the article I'm still scratching my head at how it works. Surely it can't be that the game is sped up ; all sounds would be wrong. Then maybe they just include two games in one and the option allows to switch between the two ? But then language would be affected (as US versions don't provide all european languages).
Better to find everything on your own. Though you should check out this guide : https://kotaku.com/tips-for...
To be honest it immediately jumped to my face. Sorry if it seems far-fetched to you.
My PS1 version plays beautifully on my PS3 so I don't know why I should rejoice for a new version that looks worse.
I don't like the rays of light following the character on the world map. I think I'll stick with the PS1 versions.
Probably some stability improvement
That's the point of a remaster. A remake means the work is re-made, from scratch. Look at remakes in cinema. Does "I Am Legend" look anything like the original ? Does "The Departed" look anythink like "Infernal Affairs" ? Actually it's when the remake looks identical to the original that it creates a surprise (see Gus Van Sant "Psycho"). And now I'm called stupid because I'm not interested in a so-called "remake" that looks and...
