You know, I always thought that Sony's only mistake this gen was to make the PS3 too expensive because people wanted it but couldn't afford it so they hated on it. Real hard. I have lots of friends that were very pro PS2 and couldn't wait for the PS3 but as soon as Sony said that it would cost $600 all of them went and bought an Xbox and a Wii and forgot that the PS3 even existed until recently...
And if the PS Vita is anything to go by then I only expect the PS4 ...

Xbox are flying off the shelves because of Kinect you know... And then add the fact that games like SFIV, Bayonetta, FFXIII and anything that is not a COD clone it always sells better on the PS3.
edit: Oh and how can I forget, Heavy Rain sold more than Alan Wake even though it was an extremely niche game. And the same with LA Noire... But watch Battlefield 3 sell more on the Xbox; Dance Central and FPS are the games of the average mainstream.
