and that is saying a lot, i am a very harsh critic :D
the game is better than skyward sword in my opinion.
The graphics are unimpressive on skyward sword. I really want to know what drugs people have been taking when they talk about its 'great graphics' ... they suck!
Then again, the game i played before SS was uncharted 3 :l
And don't think i'm a wii hater, there are many games on wii with very good graphics. But SS isn't one of them. even in comparison to other wii games, SS graphics are mediocre.
Xenoblade... Now that is w...
He is the original and founding member of al qaeda... Taking his bag full of bombs to terrorise foreign lands :O
Interesting article
the game is seriously boring me. it is over rated
It created a very simple 'format' by which the game plays out. Ie Fetch mission- unlock the dungeon- complete dungeon- fight boss. Repeat. That is Skyward Sword.
They need to create something that is dynamic and surprises the player. SS is predictable and as a result becomes boring. Its just not keeping my attention.
Xenoblade was a very formulaic game too, but it had such a strong story, with big twists, and it had a vast world to explore to keep you...
... If that is the true price
Yes they are great, make the best use of the motion control to date.. But they are still a bit 'off'
There are so many little niggles with the controls that i have noticed but just put up with them. They aren't game breaking, but they have resulted in some frustration and at times, link dying.
One main example being- if you point the wiimote too far off screen, the controls invert :/ So when you want link to slash from the right, he slashes from t...
yeh, the motion control was implemented well, but the game is completely linear and dare i say it... Dull. Its not making me thrilled to keep playing, its just... There.
Believe me, i've played a lot of games and know what i'm talking about- its nothing special.
xenoblade is approximately 17.4 times better. Xenoblade actually keeps you hooked in, and truly excited as to what will happen next. SS is just solid, and thats all, nothing special.
2011 was an excruciatingly painful year for nintendo wii fans. Europe got a consolation at the end in the form of xenoblade and zelda, but thats all. 2 games. Sure they were both tremendous. But still, 2? Not good enough.
Up until 2010 though, wii was, in my opinion, the very best console of this generation. I know the 'hardcore' gamers bash it, but the wii owners who are actually gamers and not soccer 'moms' or grannies, know that the wii has an extremely st...
we dont need more zombie/hack and slash games.
what we need is games with strong narrative, good stories etc. These post apocalyptic games are so cliche now
really, i mean, its solid, but its not exactly blowing my socks off. its just a great game, but nothing as special as ocarina of time.
They spend years making the game, it gets unanimous praise, but has this game breaking glitch? wtf!
im glad i didn't do that part in the game breaking order. I luckily went to the forest first. I am now in the desert trial.
if i would have encountered that glitch and had to start over again, i simply would have packed the game up and sold it.
i don't like how the game makes you revisit old locations to open new areas.
i hope its something sophisticated and/or innovative... not just another hack and slash post apocalyptic game
i must say, this zelda is very disappointing visually, there moments in this game it looked like an n64 game.
I suspect nintendo used the 'impressionist' art style as a cover for technical boundaries they encountered. So the blotchy graphics could be justified and made a part of the game, instead of obviously being bad graphics.
It doesn't fool me, the graphics are bad.
@Sidar, yes, i did mean n64. I was crawling through a tunnel...
xenoblade soundtrack is epic. every song is a masterpiece
Skyward sword simply couldn't be played using 'regular' controls, enemies block from left, right, high, low and the middle, so you have to use motion control to counter their defences. You simply couldn't defeat them with a 'normal' control system.
The same with some of the puzzles, they depend on motion control. The motion control isn't just tacked on, its an integral part of the game.
But you wouldn't know that, hence your si...
also an embarrassment to the devs and insult to the consumer
Im not too sure about this game.. It is solid, dont get me wrong, but its underwhelming.
It doesn't have that special feeling that i got with other zelda's.
It is very reminiscent or a mario game :l it seems they have simplified everything about this game, to the point where its hardly about exploration, or talking with the games character, and more about jumping from platform to platform :l
the graphics are not as good as those sho...
1st person zelda would work fine. done right, it would be amazing actually
i think zelda needs a new direction after SS. me personally, i'm bored of this current format of zelda, its basically unchanged since ocarina of time
i mean, even metroid prime switched to 3rd person view when it needed to (when you were in a ball.)
