Hopefully something like Escape Plan.
IGN will hopefully start comparing PS3/360/Wii U games to high end PCs for consistancy then.
Vita games should be judged against what is already on the system, and if it must be compared to anything, it should be the 3DS. But even then they are vastly different systems.
I agree with this point, a 4GB card in the box at not extra cost would be a good start.
Ideally the inevitable v2 Vita needs to have on board memory, with expendable as an option.
We will download stuff and need the extra memory, even at exorbitant prices, but at least a starting point would be there.
In what sense? Do you have one? Did you consider the PSP a blockbuster console, and what constitutes one in your eyes?
Just for the record people, I also got FIFA 13 from EA, and I scored that 3/5.
I am reviewing Super Monkey Ball, Assasin's Creed Liberation and Retro City Rampage and all are being judged on their own merits.
It got a 5 because it is amazing in my opinion, it was knocked visually because it is not the prettiest racer in basic terms. It is the most visually impressive game though, all things considered.
This is of course only my opinion. ...
You upset much?
I did say that in my comment.
The whole game feels laborious though, it's very repetetive to move around. It's not about visuals as I still enjoy many "older" games that don't look all that.
This just felt clunky and everything together compounded the experience for me.
I think that had I played this at the time I would have been a massive fan, but playing it for the first time in 2012 has left me less than impressed. the story is amazing, don't get me wrong but visually and control wise I have been less than fulfilled. Maybe a remake, Square?
And for those putting the guy down, it IS ok to not like certain games, even those held in high regard. It's called opinion.
Exactly. UK PS Store being overpriced is common knowledge really.
It's going to be digital only though, and might actually be cheaper to import. :P Worth thinking about.
But what about for those that didn't get the first game? Or have only just bought a Vita?
From an improvement point of view, the game was a disgrace, from a stand alone point of view, this is the one to get.
A balanced point of view always helps.
If people should stop "giving a crap about EA and their game", you clearly care enough to post in an article about it.
It's definiately the EU/UK store. Seems strange that they haven't put it on the US store. Especially since it is out on Tuesday.
You get more than two stages. But it does serve as a taster of how it controls and plays, which you cannot do on a video.
Still, it's there for people to try. After the last couple of Monkey Balls, this demo has convinced me it is more like the excellent Gamecube titles and goes on my buy list, but it isn't for everyone.
I'm really dithering on whether to wait for the EU release or get the import...
I should just take the plunge really. After all, I can import it cheaper than it will probably be over here...
I think that people will always try to make a comparison between similar games and genres in order to entice fans of those games over.
This is a lot like x-game-you-like when you may not know a lot about it may help you determine your interest in it.
PES and FIFA are a yearly repeat of this.
I do feel that this review does judge RO on being RO, it does get a top score after all. The Mh references are all they are.
If you read the article you'd see that the 2% less relates to races; or PS3 content. Jeremy actually says that there is a lot less traffic.
The 2% less is not at the traffic.
:)
Modifications are confirmed, but to what level or standard I don't know.
It's not a Vita exclusive...
Still, let's hope that "less traffic" actually mean that there is some. The limited footage we have seen from users seems to be quite empty...
I agree, the weaving in and out of the traffic, especially in Burnout Paradise was incredible.
Mcafee says reported attack page. FYI.
