I'm from the UK too and whilst I agree that the marketing is poor, I have seen many adverts for the Vita, most recently Invizimals. The advertising is easily more prevalent on or around children's TV but I have seen the Vita on primetime ITV and Sky Sports. PlayStation UK also sponsored The Simpson's on Sky One for a while. For more news you should keep any eye on my site, The Vita Lounge. ;)
On topic, it's easy to get carried a...
The last time I asked about Jacob Jones, I was told it was "coming along nicely". That reminds me to have a word with them again. :)
Great review Vongruetz, not played GOW before, but since Kratos was uber in PSAS and your review is awesome, I'll have to give it a go.
I'd expect some reviews soon. Our review for The Vita Lounge will be weeks away as we are getting a EU review copy, perhaps many others are in a similar situation.
Great review Vongruetz. Been waiting for your thoughts, I suppose I need to buy it now. Cross buy/save on all three for a great price is a no-brainer.
*cough* Dynasty Warriors 8 *cough*
I think you accidently clicked on a PlayStation post whilst looking for Xbox One stories. You should try to avoid that, this is obviously a waste of your time as well as everyone elses.
Sorry about that, server went down.; Up now :)
Patcher never liked the Vita.
@krisbuttar
Saying you don't do digital then lamenting the lack of games is a contradiction. The Vita is a predominantly digital system and that won't change anytime soon, you are shooting yourself in the foot.
Are you not buying it new in your region? All new games will come with the pass.
If we are to see this heavily rumoured Vita Borderlands 2 then I'd expect to see it at E3 - or take an non-appearance as suggestions that it doesn't exist. :(
Are we still doing this?
I do feel that the Gamecube controller was the most comfortable controller, although i do like the 360's a lot.
But Nintendo always seemed to have the best controllers of each generation and the GC's was the pinacle.
@FriedGoat
It is, on wednesday. We will have our review up tomorrow, IGN have exclusivity on the review.
The DS outsold the PSP by 2:1 overall. I'd hardly say the 3DS selling twice as many Vita units in a week - where neither had a standout release - as anything other than where the Vita probably should be aiming for. At least it isn't being outsold 14:1 like it has been. And still managed 24% of the market last week.
It's not about a war. It's about finding an identity, and an audience. Who cares if it is outsold by the 3DS in this "war". Great games, on great systems benefits gamers.
And did anyone really think that the Vita was going to outsell the 3DS?
@subtenko it's not on the PS3 because Microsoft got there first or wanted it more and inserted an exclusivity period. once that has passed I'm sure we will see it elsewhere, ie PS3 and Vita.
@murkster-dubez the Android version is the Pocket edition, has a limited world and is very far behind the 360 version, let alone the PC version.
Whilst even the Pocket Version would probably be welcomed, I'd rather a big, fuller version. wouldn't you?
I agree with you and wrote that it is a phenomenon, but I don't personally agree that a 3DS version is more likely.
Comments attributed to Jens suggest that a Wii U version is "unlikely" and I don't think that the 3DS would have the power required to run it; I think even the Vita is a big ask. The thing is is a drain on CPUs.
It would be difficult to find a Vita owner that wouldn't want a Skyrim or equivalent title on the Vita. However, with the Vita being in the predicament it is in, until more systems are shifted it would be very difficult to convince the men in suits to approve development of a title on that scale.
With massive AAA titles needing to shift multiple millions of units just to break even, they are going to need some convincing that the Vita is that for them to do that. It's...
