Exactly, I went through a couple of PS3s during to FAR TOO much usage (at the time it was due to unemployment, still living at my parents, friends all busy at work etc) and every time I called them the person on the other end of the phone seemed friendly, explained everything clearly, and I got the replacement console within 1-2days.

No bad experiences for me either :)

Tbh it's not a bad game, just not as good as I was expecting imo. I'd never played it on Xbox and the first I heard of it was from that Indie Game movie.

The soundtrack is amazing for an indie game, but there is just something about the game that I'm not a fan of. I downloaded Kung Fu Rabbit on the same day (similar type of game, pretty tough platformer) and instantly fell in love with that, 100% it in 2 days, but I didn't get the same feeling with meatboy u...

AAA Japanese games are still coming, look at Koei Tecmo, pretty much every game they are making has a Vita version (I can't wait for Toukiden 2 and Attack on Titan!)

The Western support from AAA devs has all but disappeared, but if the Japanese studios are still supporting it then it still has AAA titles...

Obviously the author has never been cqc'd by someone using stealth camo that had been following you for longer than you would like to admit, then his teammate arrives, they both fight over who should fulton you, one of them manages it but the other shoots the fulton down and before you can retaliate they knock you out and go through it again...

Not that it happened to me... honest...

It's a horrible statement of the current situation of the gaming business, but I was actually shocked that the servers were working on Day One, that's unheard of nowadays!!

I played for 2hours solid yesterday in a party of 3, and apart from a couple of disconnections when trying to enter games it worked perfectly. Kojima knows his stuff.

Oh, and NO KONAMI ID REQUIRED!!! That was by far the best bit of news lol

Tbh I kinda like Super Meat Boy, also downloaded a game called Kung Fu Rabbit this morning. Both of them are difficult platformers, both fit really well on my Vita, but I can't imagine them being amazing on the big screen... I might have to download them on my PS4 if they are both on there (SMB is)

I agree though, there are far too many low-quality games being put into the PS+ monthlys, but for every 5 that are rubbish we get 1 or 2 gems inbetween (wasn't Rocket Lea...

@Higgins "Many of the features you mention do not define a GAMES console - DVD/Blu Ray Player for example."

True, but they do enable devs to make the experience they want. FF7 famously moved from the N64 to PS1 because of the cartridge system not being fit for purpose, for example. MGS4 was only possible on the PS3 because of the space it required (it was the first game to actually require a dual-layer Blu-ray at 50gb) etc

"Follow ups to Sony and Microsoft consoles are carbon copies of what came previous."

I know I shouldn't rise to the bait, but here goes:

PS1: Introduced CD's to main stream gaming (not just an add on like Sega), massive graphics improvement over the competition

PS2: Introduced DVD's to gaming, also had the very beginnings of online gaming, major graphics upgrade from the PS1 (just look at MGS1 to MGS2 to see the di...

If I remember rightly Skate 1 only had single player. It was an amazing game for it's time, a realistic skateboarding game that took skill to master with a fresh control scheme (I LOVE that all the tricks were on the right analog stick, it just felt more fluid and like you were actually doing the tricks, as opposed to right+square to kickflip lol)

Personally, I never got the 3rd one, but I loved Skate 1 and Skate 2. The biggest difference between the 2 is that you can g...

The only 'problem' I'm having is that when I click on a game to open it the splash screen is displayed but takes a LOT longer to disappear. It used to be that I would push X, splash screen appears, then about 5secs later the game starts loading. Now it's splash screen for about 30sec+ then it loads the game.

Not a huge problem, just a mild inconvenience lol. Weirdly I had the 3.0 beta, and this didn't happen in that...

EDIT: just for ...

That's a good top ten list. I love the fact I get loads of Japanese games on there, it really differentiates itself from my PS3 and PS4 (granted both of them have JRPG's etc but not in such an abundance as the Vita)

I want them to make another handheld too, I play my Vita everyday, quite a lot of the time I play it more than my consoles, just a shame it never got the backing from Sony or continued support from Western devs to make it huge outside of Japan :(

Unpopular opinion, but normally I kinda agree with Patcher on a lot of things. This one, I completely disagree with. Digital is the future, physical will die out soon enough and digital will take it's place. Just like tapes died once CD's were made, and now digital has all but killed CDs the same will happen everywhere else.

I love all the 'physical means no DRM/I'll stop gaming when it's all digital' comments though, so many tin foil hats in here, w...

The technology for disc based games can only go so far. The largest commercially viable Blu-ray at the moment is 50gb, with a few larger versions being made (didn't a 250gb disc get announced at some point?) whereas HDD's are getting cheaper with more even storage on them, 8TB's might be expensive at the moment but are bound to be more reasonable by next year.

Once 4k or even 8k become the standard for games and films physical media will definitely be far too im...

That will happen when they don't have to worry about upsetting retail. The mark up at the moment is caused by large retailers saying they would refuse to stock a game if it is cheaper as a digital copy, then the publishers have to pander to these companies to stop them throwing their toys out of the pram at the existence of a format that will make their store obsolete.

Personally, I'm all digital anyway, but for YEARS I have hated retail game stores (specifically HM...

Personally I think quite a few people are in the same position as you, and it's Sony's fault for changing the name.

In Japan it's called Vita TV, which gives you the impression it is a Vita that connects to a TV (which it is!), but outside of Japan they call it Playstation TV which no doubt makes people think it's a small playstation console... which it isn't lol

Should have just kept the name the same, avoid the confusion!

not a problem for my 64gb memory stick, and if it was I would just move some of the 50+ games on it to my PC's 1tb HDD. No problem whatsoever :)

All of my media is digital except films at the moment (although I do love my Netflix sub), my games, music, even books are ALL digital. I won't be going back to the dark ages any time soon, digital is the future!

If we all embrace it the prices will get cheaper as digital console games are more expensive because the likes of Gamestop/Bestbuy in the US and Game/HMV in the UK all force the console manufacturers/publishers to make the digital prices higher their store vers...

"Exclusivity Will Ensure Favorable Outlook Towards Xbox One"

Or, you know, it could mean a lot of people hate you and will express it quite passionately, as they did when you first announced the exclusivity deal...

I only own a PS4, will never own an Xbox one as I don't like Microsoft, but this deal wouldn't have swayed me to buy one or look more favourably on the console anyway. If they had got an exclusive deal for MGS or Final Fantasy...
