Funnily enough, the lead localiser for MGS1 was interviewed by the Japan Times over the weekend and he stated that Japanese development is dieing as they are all trying to be Western (a higher up at Capcom said the same, quoted in the same article).

Japanese devs should stick to doing what they know best, BEING JAPANESE!! I buy Japanese games because they are different, not because they are trying hard to be Western... (also another point the localiser brought up, that we l...

So Konami, from the small bits of information we can gather, didn't like Kojima spending so much money on the project, taking too much time etc. He spent $60m but makes them $179m in ONE DAY and they still fire him...

I really want the truth to come out of the Konami/Kojima fallout, as if one of my best employees could triple my investment in one day I would do everything I could to keep them on board!

Same here, i'm fully digital on PS4 (I think about 20 titles, been a while since I counted lol), my Vita has about 90 titles all digital, and my PS3 was the beginning of the transition to digital for me so has about 20 titles, most of them indie but a few AAA, compared to 40 physical.

I have never looked back once. I never sold my games, never shared games with my friends, and was quickly running out of shelf space. Digital makes sense on so many levels, personally I ju...

The demo of this game is brilliant, I need to beat some more missions of it though, just trying to find time at the moment #GamerProblems

It's more than just an upscale thankfully, looks like they remade everything so it looks like a native PS4 game (unlike Square's effort with FF Type-0 lol). Great work Bandai Namco!

Are all of their goals scored at 88mph?

So what's the chances that the moment these microtransactions get implemented (they may have already, not sure, I haven't played Destiny for a few months) that the loot drops get even worse than they already are (I'm not sure how they can get any worse though!) and they effectively force you to buy the microtransactions to get anything worthwhile?

If we could post pictures here I would totally be posting the Aliens Guy *Activision* meme right now!

No innovation you say *Looks at No Man's Sky, a game that has BILLIONS of planets to explore, and will take more than all of our combined life times to fully explore*

...yup, nothing new here, let's all move along then

I've only played a couple, and from what I can tell is they are small sections taken from existing Driveclub tracks. Most of them can be beaten in under 40secs, hence the name lol

I really wanted to get this game, I LOVED RWC2011 on my PS3, online was poor but the fundamental gameplay was great. The more reviews I see of this game the more I am tempted to avoid it, and maybe even betray my Rugby Union roots and get the Rugby League game *shock* because it looks REALLY good!

True, but that would require spending money, and we all know that Activision like making money whilst spending the absolute minimum money.

Look at CoD, it's pretty much copy-pasted every year lol

Tbh the story of Peace Walker wasn't amazing (still better than MGSV though imo) but the co-op missions made the game one of the best in the series, especially once you had unlocked the fulton launcher and bandana and just watch a tank despair at all his rapidly disappearing troops haha

I read this on BBC News a minute ago, they are giving the games industry £4m (which is great, it's about time they started appreciating it), but a couple of sentences later it said "The UK games industry generates £4.5m a day in revenue"...

So the amount the government is giving them is LESS than what the industry makes in one day lol

I know this is intended to help indies though, and if I was a better designer/programmer (currentl...

Same here, if I see a list that looks challenging but not ridiculous I will buy it, but if they are absurd (10,000 online kills?! seriously?!?!?!) then I will weigh up whether I want the game or not. I can't have a 99% of the trophies and the last one be 'spend an entire calendar month playing this game with no breaks, and you better be hoping the online servers stay up long enough for you to get this trophy' lol

@Crimzon The DS emulators work really well by just using a mouse as a stylus, so they got the touch screen/second screen figured out already.

I think the problem with the WiiU might be the motion sensors, but they are bound to think of something, although I don't own a WiiU so do many games really use the full functionality of the gamepad? If not then it won't be much of a problem anyway

The thing that annoys me is that the story IS there, but you need to listen to all the tapes. I kept going straight back into missions to get the story, but didn't realise I had to listen to the tapes to get the story (annoyingly some of them are just the intro to missions that Ocelot tells you anyway...), now I have at least 99 tapes to listen to lol

Didn't Konami/Kojima see the backlash Destiny got for separating the story from the game into those stupid grimoire ...

Tony Hawks Underground was by far the BEST skateboarding game...until Skate came along and made all Tony Hawks games irrelevant lol

I had so much fun with Underground though, it's surprising just how much adding the ability to get off your board completely changed the way you looked at the game. I spent so much time walking around trying to find the perfect spot for an amazing line, whereas in the older games you would have to skate there as quickly as possible and hope...

I am very tempted to get a subscription at that price, I think I'll try the trial and see what I think.

I know I wouldn't play all of them, but 100 games in the subscription for £156 per year, so just over £1 per game? Sounds like a bargain to me, you couldn't get the games that cheap in pre-owned physical!
