If they can make people think they aren't going to produce them anymore the masses will go crazy and buy them as quick as they can. This then leads to panic and people wanting it more than ever, hence 'rare' (read: broken) Amiibos selling for upwards of $2000 on ebay.
Imo, they are playing a game to sell as many of the adapters and Amiibos as possible and trying to recreate the Wii effect, where everyone just had to have one.
Last year I bought a new game every other day, this year I have bought none... I was tempted by The Last of Us but didn't pick it up. The rest haven't been that great, and I find it a little annoying that the deals for a few of them have been an identical game for both the PS4 and PS3 so not even that much of a selection...
Hopefully the last deal is the best :)
Step 1: Read Guide
Step 2: Buy Parts
Step 3: Install Parts
Step 4: Install OS and Games
Step 5: Go on any games forum you can find and keep repeating phrases like "waiting for superior PC version at 60fps and 4k", "console peasants", or "I only spent $1000 on a graphics card"
Step 6: Smile
:)
I'm going all digital this gen, I wasn't intending to but once I got my PS4 and noticed all my physical games were being fully installed on the HDD and the disc's only purpose is to tell the console you own the game, I didn't see the point in having multiple cases cluttering my house.
I haven't looked back since, and if you wait for sales and buy the top-up codes online you can normally get the games either the same price, or really close to, the price of physical...
I agree with Canary, I played one on the DS, it has a tiny amount of story and within about 10mins I was wandering aimlessly around the village stealing vegetables as there was nothing obvious I needed to do, nor could I find anyone to give me a task.
I never quite understood the mass appeal of it after that...
Can't wait to play this! I'm now a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, but if it wasn't for my love of Hwoarang in Tekken I never would have gone out to find a Tae Kwon Do class lol
Him and Baek on TTT2 were always my main tag team, so many amazing kicks, quite a few I've actually learnt to use in sparring :)
This is the only thing stopping me even attempting the raid, all my mates have moved on from Destiny so I can't play with them, most of my clan have stopped playing (currently trying to get access to the PS4 reddit clan, surely 5 others in the almost 40k members should be free to play it!), but if it had matchmaking I would be playing it as often as possible.
such a shame, and I bet i'm not the only one in this position :(
For the most part the full game was the same. Most people just ran to find the first enemy, shoot, run off again. Even the...team data system (I forget the name but if you held triangle near a team member you could see if they were being attacked, you could see them through walls, send requests for help etc) was barely used by others, I made a point of using it because I liked the idea.
Hopefully the new one will be a bit different, but I doubt it as MGS:GZ was more run-n-g...
I remember the servers for getting a Konami ID crashed too lol. It was a useless system, but something Kojima couldn't remove as Konami told him it NEEDS to be added to the game.
Long story short, gamers get shafted by having to use yet another username on pretty laggy P2P servers thanks to the suits at Konami...
"Phil Spencer congratulated Yoshida for SFV deal but stated that he will work on Amends (compensate or make up for a wrongdoing)"
How nice of this site to talk down to it's audience....
Where did you find it for £23? I got mine from cdkeys for about £33 last year so I might have to pick one up if I can find it that cheap!
I know most pros just use the arcade stick set-up, but I wonder if any of them tried to use the 360's dpad to play instead.
My mate had a 360, I have a PS3, we both had Street Fighter 2 HD. It was pretty even on the PS3 but he would always win on the 360 due to insanely poor d-pad, it was that poor I don't even know why they bothered making it! I don't normally rage when playing games but I almost snapped his control over just how bad it was lol
Tbh I don't even see it as paying to play online (which I know it is!), I see it as spending about £33 a year thanks to cdkeys.com and getting at least 30 games to play (I own a PS4, PS3 and Vita) for the price of 1 game. Microsoft have a very similar thing, but a lot more of their additional functions are behind the paywall, but they still give away free games every month.
I'm stuck with Sky as Virgin isn't available in my road yet, but as soon as it is I will be ripping those ugly satellite dishes from my wall!!
I pay about £30pm for Sky HD, which considering I only watch a few of the 'pay-to-watch' channels seems a bit steep imo so might just get rid of it and have freeview instead (1 less customer for Sky ftw!)
Every day that goes by I keep thinking the same thing, but at this point in time if they were to cancel it there would be a MASSIVE fan backlash that I don't think they could recover from.
One way or another the PS+ edition has GOT to be released!
I play my Vita just as much, maybe more, than my PS4 and PS3 combined... Admittedly it depends on your circumstances (I play my Vita on my lunch break at work, and maybe a little at home, but i'm married with a son so I don't get a lot of opportunities to play the consoles) but the Vita is not to be dismissed like this article appears to be trying to do...
"Yay, a beta for MGO, I need to download it now"
*downloading....installing... .game start*
"Please input Konami ID"
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UU
I found the trick to fighting against eddie/christie was holding a low block (diagonal back/down) and just doing low kicks with X, 90% of the time you would just kick his hands as he starts spinning :)
Tekken manages to sell quite a lot of Playstations, always has. Street Fighter will sell quite a lot of them too, personally I would assume maybe not as many as a Tekken bundle, but a decent chunk of sales none-the-less.
Apart from a massive amount of NPC pop-in on the Vita (not sure about the PS3 version, I've only got the Vita one) I'm really enjoying this game.
I keep playing it on my lunchbreak at work, and having to explain to people who look over my shoulder that everyone is vampires and i'm not just stripping them because I'm a pervert is pretty funny!
