If the single player experience is going to suffer at the hands of online multiplayer (OM), leave out the OM.
I think it said it's coming to Japan in June so figure 6 months to localize... that would mean about a Christmas release for NA.

First of all, I loved it, but was disapointed to hear that it didn't sell well. Overworks/Sega took a chance and created a game like no other and I didn't want them to feel penalized for it. Hopefully this will be inspirational news for other developers to take chances as well.

He's saying that JP devs are not as innovative as Western devs and should be looking to them for inspiration. So the burden of proof is not on the Japanese.
My personal opinion is that neither are more innovative than the other. I like JP games and I like Western games. They fill a need for when I want certain types of games. I don't want to see all gaming to be just Western style gaming. Capiche?

I agree with this article. IMO online multiplayer is one of the best and worst thing to happen to gaming. Dev's have pretty much abandoned the single player aspect, which sucks. No effort for story or character development or musical scores, favoring sandbox build your own adventures.

People will find reasons to fight whether it's religion, color of skin, what console you like, etc.. good point. I totally agree.
But it is one less thing. One less MAJOR thing that people will fight over. But that kind of world is impossible. Just thinking utopian.
