This kids hilarious, Sony definitely has some intelligent people making their advertising campaigns
I'd have to agree that the story goes on a little bit towards the end of the game. In my article though I was trying to focus on the disappointing technical aspects of the game.
I definitely feel like the mainstream reviewers rated it far to high, sometimes it seems like Rockstar can do no wrong in the eyes of many reviewers.
Thats a shame, the Xbox 360 version seems to have a pretty good online community. Every time I go online there are tongs of people to play with. The hard-core mode, where I spend the majority of my time, is a little sparse at times but in general there are always a lot of people to play with.
I completely agree with you, I just feel like reviewers are blinded by Rockstar's pedigree. Also, as you can see in my story I stated that it's a great game, a great game hindered by some major flaws. There is no denying that the game has some serious issues. I didn't even write about the numerous glitches and other problems the game has experienced since launch.
Interesting theory.. to bad it really doesn't make much sense.
When I look back I'm pretty sure the entire thing was done in jest and definitely not to be taken seriously in anyway.
Piracy is a much bigger issue for Sony and the PSP, it's part of why third party devs don't even want to make games for the thing. Also the DS gets pwned by piracy. I don't see the Xbox 360 as having a major piracy problem at all, it's probably a the same situation every other major console is in.
I want to try it, just to see how bad it really is
I just checked out some reviews and man did people rip into this game, its almost scary how bad the world thinks it is.
Is it really worse than that Superman game for the N64
I'm considering giving this game a try, just to see if it's really as terrible as you say.
It's an interesting idea to say the least. Hopefully something becomes of it.
That map totally looks like a level from Castlevania or Metroid. It sounds like a straight up marketing ploy from a little known company to me.
I remember that name for the controller. It was massive but also awkward. I'd like to try holding one again just for old times sake, see how it feels now.
I see Kinect having some hardcore games but who knows. Even the Wii has a few, I think it's stages. They release these motion controllers with this little mini-game compilations to test the technology. Once they see what can be done with it we start to see deeper experiences. At least that is what I'm hoping anyways.
Kinect has potential, It looks promising but I wanted to see real games, not gimmicky tech demos. The demos look like fun but they are solely focused on the casual gamer. Sony's conference maintained that balance, they showed a renewed focus on the casual market but also let us hardcore gamers know we still exist and they want to support us. That was Microsoft's biggest folly, hardcore gamers are still a huge audience.
I'm a Microsoft fan and I have been for some time but Sony absolutely dominated at this years E3.
Personally I would have liked to see much more out of Zelda, I know I mentioned it before but the sword mechanics looked wonky, sure that could have been due to the alleged technical difficulties but who knows for sure.
Overall I was pretty impressed by the balance Sony managed to maintain throughout the conference. They showed stuff for casual gamers but also let the hardcore out there no that they haven't forgot about what they want from their personal gaming experiences. This is something I feel like Nintendo has been ignoring for years, the hardcore gamer, and Microsoft recently started ignoring. Check out their E3 conference it was full of stuff aimed solely at the casual market.
I'm wondering if I still have my controller Type S sitting around
Great read, I was kind of disappointed with the demo my self. It has been so long since I've played the original Crackdown but If I remember correctly not much seems to have changed in the sequel. Nothing really seemed new to me at all.
