I guess after they saw Sony's Black Friday deals were going to be a full week they got scared.
But honestly this past month Sony has had multiple sales going on at the same time, a couple weeks ago they had three separate sales going on at once.

First off, I am not defending the companies. Second, food is different, people need food to live, no one needs dlc, mt's, loot boxes or games for that matter.
The point is if gamers had said no to DLC and not bought the early games that had it and rejected it DLC and thus MT's and loot boxes wouldn't exist today. Consumers decide what gets sold, plenty (millions) of products don't exist anymore because people didn't buy them...
At least they are honest. While I am not saying it's not their fault, it's absolutely the fault of the people who buy this crap as well.
Myself and lots of others tried to say this kind of stuff would happen when Microsoft brought DLC to the market with the 360. But people didn't listen and bought DLC anyways. Now it's the same, people say don't buy loot boxes and MT's but people by them anyways. And things will only get worse in the future... wh...
Microsoft had Mt's in their games all generation and it was going ot be loot box city for them until EA and WB screwed it up for everyone. Sony and Nintendo have had by far the least MT loot boxes and DLC this generation.

No they aren't... And even if that was the case it's one thing to swear when talking with friends it's another thing to swear on your companies website. This person used very poor judgement and has no one to blame but themselves.
If someone steals something and they get caught they can't just say "well all my friends were stealing" and expect to not receive punishment for their poor judgement.

It's so funny how things are these days, if someone calls someone a racial slur and they get offended that's a problem, but if someone then calls that person a racist and they get offended by being called a racist that's perfectly normal.

I think that's an extremely lopsided view of the situation.
I think that far more accurate view is that Bluehole was going to bring the game to both consoles when Microsoft paid them to keep it exclusive. I think it's likely that Microsoft did in fact try to buy PUBG (as was rumored) but Bluehole/PUBG Corp. said no. If it hadn't been for Microsoft paying for timed exclusivity it probably would have come to PS4 in the first quarter ...
You forgot "pretending that Sony doesn't exist and isn't going to be there next gen" as well, Microsoft seems to be doing a lot of that too.
