I don't think anyone is saying Xbox owners don't support japanese games at all. The point is they don't support them as well as PlayStation owners and that Xbox's support isn't enough to support a healthy industry in Japan.
If the situation was reversed and One had 80 million consoles and PS4 had 35 million, It's quite safe to assume that Japanese gaming would have failed this generation. Let's be real here Micro...
When you talk about a segmented market your agreeing with Gamerzero... The segments were 360 owners and PS3 owners.
360 owners largely only wanted shooters and sports games (CoD Halo and Gears and Madden and Forza)
PS3 owners just like PS4 owners were far more open to a larger variety of games including jrpg's and other Japanese games.
This gen not much has really changed, One owners still just buy shooters and sports games and PS4...
My internet is only 30/3 and PSNow works perfectly for me, no lag or artifacts. And I can play games on my older laptop on the go.
PSNow has been awesome for me, well worth it.
I can also say PSNow works great for me.
And let's be honest here the reason Microsoft gives it's games away on gamepass is because there games have sold really badly all generation. Sony is making games that have been top selling games in the years they are released.
And Microsoft is focused on gaas so they are just trying to use gamepass as a paygate to get people in their games so they can sell them microtransactions.

Device A. has sold 2 devices and 2 units of software that's 100% attach rate and $4 profit.
Device B. has sold 6 devices and 3 units of software that's only 50% attach rate but it's $6 profit.

I liked it, as did a lot of people.
The flip side is all the people who were calling it Microsoft's big Japanese game and talking about it when they were making lists of Xbox's upcoming games who when it got canceled all of a sudden started saying it sucked.

More games are released than a person could play even if that's all they spent their time doing.
People are up in arms about this like it's peace talks between two warring nations. It's not a big deal, I have more respect for my kid when I tell him to mow the lawn and he doesn't want to. At least in that case he is actually being forced to do something. No one and I mean NO ONE has to buy or even play BF...
