Sony won't "lose E3". Why? Because E3 isn't a competition.
Although I do feel that a good portion of the press conference will be used apologizing for the whole PSN debacle. And, if they don't even mention it, then that will lead me to believe that they just don't care.
I wish I could say that you're right, but unfortunately there are a great many people that will buy these games simply because they have "Call of Duty" plastered on them.
And, you watch, PS3 will get the shaft again with this game.
@Lifendz
Actually, the PSN Store being down hurts the Devs just as much as it hurts Sony because they aren't making any money from their games and DLC that are available on the Store.
I don't think anybody has said anything specific yet regarding Combat Training, but you never know it could happen.
Given the way IW has ignored stuff that Treyarch has done with their CoD games, I doubt it.
Literally a copy paste job from MW2. Still going to have quickscopers, still going to have knife-monkeys, and with 3 devs it's probably still going to have the same problems as MW2.
If all this is true, I definitely will not be buying this game.
I'm hoping that this rehash will start to toll the death knell for this franchise, but unfortunately, given how popular it is by the uninformed, it will continue to thrive.
I take everything Robert Bowling says with a grain of salt. He's their PR guy. His job is to generate hype!
@Kurt Russell
If you download the update, you won't just be unable to play online, that particular console won't be able to play games period. It won't read the discs, you will only get a disc read error or disc unsupported error.
This is definitely not looking good for Sony and their supporters/gamers/devs. I have a feeling that the longer this issue goes unresolved, devs may start to jump ship.
I wonder if Anonymous realizes that every time they open their collective mouth people hate them more.
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, Monty now works for RoosterTeeth doing all of their motion capture work on RvB.
You're right about needing more power. This is exactly the same footage that DICE showed before, and I believe they said they were using a GTX580.
Honestly, I hope Jason and Vince rape Activision and Bobby Kotick for all that they are worth.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that when MW2 was being developed, Jason and Vince didn't want to put COD in the title. They wanted to morph it into it's own franchise separate from CoD, but Kotick made them add CoD.
GLaDOS is easily one of the greatest video game characters ever created!
My current text message alert is this...
"That has got be the dumbest thing that...WOah...Woah...woooooooo ooaaaaaaah"
I agree with you 100%. I am so excited about this game, and will most likely waste away from playing it so long.
I also love the way that Splash Damage has basically taken the approach of "The single-player can also be the multi-player".
All fanboys are loathed. Regardless of what platform they are a fanboy of, be it PC, 360, PS3, or Wii.
Although I will admit, Cliffy is starting to get a bit annoying. There is a difference between stirring up publicity and being annoying.
I used to like it when Cliffy B would stir up a little shit every now and then. I used to think it was funny, but now it's getting annoying.
He's becoming the Charlie Sheen of the games industry.
Excellent points, but a guy can always hope can't he?
People will still buy the next CoD despite how bad it will be. Me personally, I will wait and rent it to see if I like it, but I highly doubt I will be buying it.
CoD, despite it's popularity, is going to have rough time sales-wise this year, I feel. I say this because of all of the amazing titles that will already be available and the ones that are coming out around that time: Brink, Resistance 3, Battlefield 3, Rage, Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, etc.
Or at least get their parents to buy it for them.
I was thinking the same thing. Pointless article since the convention isn't even over yet.
This was just done for site hits.
