Uhhh I know they aren't mandatory. That wasn't my point. You know that millions of people are going to use this feature. The only time I see someone not using it is they are renting a game to try it out. But I guarantee you that anyone with a hard drive will be installing Gears 2 and Fable 2 this year. But what, now its okay to fill up your hard drive and delete game data that you don't want, only because its optional? Give me a break...

Uhhh Sony can not do anything, If Microsoft comes out with a new console in a year, how is that good for them? People only buy more PS3's when its in the off season? If anything, this shows that the 360 has A LOT of competition coming into the holidays. With the 80 gig PS3 releasing, 120 gig bundle, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm, various multiplatform titles that were lead on PS3, etc., Microsoft should be worried. Their price drop did not have a lasting effect they were hoping for.

It's not an average game. It is a great game with server issues. Actually, I take that back. The server issues really have been taken care of, and if I'm not mistaken, they are releasing another patch today. I play for a good three hours yesterday with no problems whatsoever. There are some hang times when you first get into a game, but I had no disconnects or lag while in game. The game play is tactical. Some people can't get their head around that. It is realistic and not meant to be...

An obvious rip on the PS3 but what you apparently don't realize is that if Microsoft had chosen to put a Hard Drive in the 360, installs wouldn't be a thing of choice for anybody. So you're right; developers are not the ones choosing, Microsoft is the one NOT letting developers make installs mandatory by gimping the arcade.
