If Microsoft released the 360 alongside the PS3, Microsoft would have been crushed. They needed that headstart. Regardless of hardware failures, it helped them to get into the market.

You must not have been informed, but 1up did not give Gears a perfect score. Metacritic inflated the number to be 100...and have I told you lately your avatar is disgusting...?
I don't think Gears is eye candy. Again don't care what reviewers think. What I pointed out is exactly why. Saying Resistance is "The 3 B's" that EPIC was going for and then saying Gears isn't a smart shooter and giving Gears a higher score is bullsh!t. Anyway, I'm sick of all this crap. What a horrible video.

Agree with you Danja. My first playthrough was about 35 hours watching every single cutscene and codec conversation. Obviously it can be played through in a lot less. You need less than 5 hours for the Big Boss emblem, which I got. I am on my seventh playthrough and I have yet to be bored. But to each his own, I suppose.
And its not really an 80. Its from Variety magazine and they don't give out numbers. Somehow, Metacritic thought their take on the game sounded like an 80 when they were clearly praising it.
