Can someone give me an idea of what this game is like/about? Maybe compare to a more mainstream game? I've thought it looked interesting, but I don't think I've ever played a game like it.

The phantom disagrees tell me that yes, it is bad that one system has something the other doesn't. Call me crazy, but the differences are what set the system apart from each other and get people to buy it. Xbox has its Netflix and game installs to hard drive, while the PS3 has Blu-Ray and standard hard drives. If every system was the same, what would be the point of owning the other?

Sorry, I just wanted to correct you. It seems like you think Sony is going to bad this Christmas, but you said they are going to have a black Christmas. A "black" selling season is one that turns a profit. So technically, according to you, they would have a "red" Christmas. (loss of money)
Wow, a press release about their own business. What a revelation!! While Microsoft feels the need to mention the PS3 SEVEN times in their NPD press release, Sony comes out with theirs, NO mention of the 360.
As crappy as VG Chartz is, you're numbers are off from what I get. If you go to Chartz > Hardware Table > then select PS3 > 1st week ending: 05 Jan 08 and last week: 06 Dec 08 > you get 9,023,048
If you do the same with the 360, you get 8,990,077

See there is a difference between what you posted and what Aaron Greenberg spouts all day. Kaz is very confident with where the PS3 is. So confident that he doesn't feel the need to take anything from what the 360 is doing. Its not bashing the 360, its praising the PS3. A huge difference.

Almost positive it is ingame, not CGI. And I'm pretty sure most backdrops are pre-rendered in any game. The point is, this is what the game is going to look like when we play it.

If you go by gameplay, this game is going to be amazing. However, like you mentioned, the controversial nature of it will off-put a lot of people from buying it. Sales will be what makes this game a flop, if anything. Indigo Prophecy was amazing and I don't doubt this will move me in the same way.

Does anybody know what will happen with people that own Vista? I just got a new computer today that was preloaded with Vista. Will they be offering a free upgrade or anything? I suppose that I should know that it will be like 100 bucks, but coming out with a new operating system so soon after the release of a previous is just silly.
