Holy crap. I was not expecting that list AT ALL! Valkyria Chronicles and LittleBigPlanet got like 3 awards each. So happy another site decided Game of the Year was something other than Grand Theft Auto 4.

There is nothing wrong with owning a monitor for console gaming. Why is it that much different than a TV? What if you a living in a tight space (roommates, 1 bedroom apartment) and need to condense? Why not hook you console up to the display you use with your PC? I did this a while back with my PS2 with a VGA converter box and loved it.

I would have a hard time calling it a "TRUE" JRPG. Judging by the combat alone, it looks more Western than anything.
Ha. Yeah there lists are usually pretty crappy. And I hate the fact they feel the need to put each game on its own page. It takes forever to get through them all.

I was gonna say something about Call of Duty 4. I guess maybe its not considered the "First" level, but riding that helicopter, making your way to the crate and hauling ass out of that ship was nuts. That was my first "next-gen" experience this generation.

Oh I read it, I just think its wrong to say that GW:RE 2 is better than Metal Gear Solid 4. I don't care if it based on votes cast by the staff. If it was that way, wouldn't it be a reflection of how their site feels?

Best Buy discounted Bioshock to 40 bucks 2 weeks ago. I picked up that and Motorstorm (also 40). Target discounted Fallout 3 this week to 40 but I think they might be sold out... :(
...and apparently Mercenaries 2 was better than Resistance 2. I smell some PS3 hate...but to be fair, LittleBigPlanet hasn't shown up on their list. It HAS to be in the top 10.
...Which is really sad when you think about it. The iphone launched at the same price as the PS3 (499 for 8 GIG 599 for 16 GIG) but it sold more than the PS3. Why anybody would pay that much for a phone is beyond me.

Ooooo, I would most certainly have to disagree there. Sure it wasn't a whole lot of fun to mash it, it was very fitting for what was happening. If you were into the story, you loved that part...and probably cried, like me...
