I haven't ever played a Call of Duty game yet.
Just never got around to it.
EA never changed.
They still have the “develop by numbers” culture that they have always had, they still close down perfectly good studios, they still charge extra for day 1 DLC that should be on the disk. The only thing that EA care about is knocking over Call of Duty.
I honestly didn’t that Bioware would be sucked into EA’s way of thinking so quickly, but ME2 and now DA2 just proved me wrong.
I expect ME3 to be even further watered d...
Not cool.
There’s been a lot of talk about about 2011 being the “Year of the PS3”
It’s starting to look like the year of the multiplatform to me.
Heaps of top quality multiplats coming out this year.
Microsoft do need more exclusives though.
I'm with you on that one FailOverHero.
The article itself is not a bad read, but that title is just asking for it.
Do you think that Microsoft will go 100% Digital distribution? I think a lot of developers would be pushing that Particular barrow.
Agreed.
This puts the move by Microsoft to market the 360 as the “family” console in a slightly different light IMO.
I expect some sort of tease regarding the X3OX (that’s what I’m calling it) early next year CES.
You can bet your ass that Epic Games will have a major role in pushing this thing along.
Management reshuffles perhaps?
Or they have had a major buy out of another company.
Or the glorious return to power of Bill Gates to steady the ship.
could be announced at CES next year.
with a massive info blowout at E3 2012
Released Holidays 2012?
It should be fine. Microsoft lost a truck load of cash on the RROD, they won’t make that mistake again. This next gen Xbox will be near bulletproof.
I wonder if they will follow the example of Nintendo and the Wii and have minor hardware upgrades to make profit from the get go?
I had Populous on the Sega Master System. Played the hell out of it.
RTS has been a fav of mine ever since.
Halo Wars 2 + Kinect = win
Do it 343. Do it now!
It is what it is I’m afraid.
Personally I have a shit-ton of games to catch up on from the last 2 to 3 years, so I’m not too concerned of the 360’s lack of exclusives for 2011.
I am worried about the state of their first party stable of studios however. I understand their strategy of keeping costs down by having a small number of studios, and relying on third party developers to produce exclusives for them. But it seems to me that it’s a situation that Micro...
What the hell is going on at Microsoft?
Who would ever want this? Or pay that much for it?
Who greenlights this stuff?
This just doesn’t even seem worth the time to announce.
I don’t see how anyone could be even slightly interested in this.
This is GDC and they clearly have nothing to show. As an Xbox owner I can only say that I am pretty disappointed.
It's hard to get a bead on what Microsoft is trying to accomplish with Xbox these days; they just seem somewhat visionless without guys like Moore, Kim and Allard. Are they pouring cash and developmen...
"It's something many of you have asked for".
Holy crap!
Don't tell me they finally spent some cash on a new studio?
As a father of two I can absolutely see this being a smash in my house.
Trying to get a two and a half-year old to understand complex emotions like empathy or selflessness is one of the more difficult parts of parenting at that age.
My little guy has just got into Sesame Street (much to my approval) there is so much dribble on TV that just talks down to kids. I'm hoping to get a Kinect next year, this will be just the thing for my two boys.
While I do agree with everything you have mentioned. I wouldn’t expect Microsoft to be announcing too much this week. Got to save some things for E3 ya know?
Based on the rumors that have been going around the last few months I would say we are looking at new announcements for the Halo CE remake, PGR5 and Alan Wake 2.
I also think that one or two of the Kinect games announced at TGS last year will make a showing.
Throw in some Gears 3 game p...
I always thought that a Viva Piñata sequel using Kinect would be a no brainer for both Rare and Microsoft.
Yeah.
That sounds about right to me too.
Only RPGs and open world games like GTA need to be any longer.
10 - 12 hours is good value for money IMO.
