When they are not the scope of the game, yes, it is okay. The graphics are not all shiny and ultra awesome for a reason: GAMEPLAY FEATURES.
Fair trade, imo.

On topic, it would be freaking awesome!
Yes, they were definitely there. The performance was not perfect, there was a lot of lag etc. This is why I deleted the beta, but hope it improved for this release build.
Great news for WiiU owners. Excellent game.
I'll get them both, but I doubt I'll have played everything available until then...
Finally Planetside 2 is exiting the beta stage! Will try it again.
I agree with BiggerBoss. Gameplay over graphics all time.

On a side note, did you guys realize that there are several sections on the trailer before the nuclear armageddon looking like gameplay, implying that we will be allowed to play on this era as well?
I gotta say, this is what is making me more excited. The lore is so awesome for before the vaults were the only escape.
The graphics are not top notch, but I don't care. Graphics are not what we play Bethesda games for.
It is a very complex game and I'd choose stable performance in gameplay anyday.
It will get downgraded nonetheless. Why wouldn't they release a buffed version on their marketing pieces and lose sales? It is still great, though, to see a game reveal without obviously fake graphics like almost anything that we will see at E3.
But it doesn't matter so much in this case.
Bethesda games are not great for graphics; They are some of the most complete RPG simulations in video games, what I'm sure Fallout 4 will be up to.
You disagree that every E3 game announcement is made with fake graphics?!
Took me one second to think about it.
"And then, after an initially exciting static fuzz and de-focus of the screen… nothing happens. The countdown comes to an end, the scripts on the site prepare to load whatever the big announcement is, and then it flips to a ‘Please Stand By’ holding page. Looking through the code for the site it appears that whatever it has been hard coded to point to when the timer runs out either doesn’t exist yet, or at least isn’t accessible, un...
I loved the graphics too, but keep in mind that those are without a doubt fake graphics and the game itself will look much, much worse.
And that NONE of these graphics shown will ever come even close to exist on the release state, just on the bullshots and fake advertisement pieces (which we will be seeing in two weeks).
4Sh0w, even in that case, the overall design will still have to worry about mechanics that the 10 year old machines can still run.
It is innevitable. It if is cross gen, it is not current gen, and a lot of consequences come from this.
All of them, except for ctrl c ctrl v annualized franchises?
Doesn't change the fact that the initial "news" was close to useless and a mere placeholder/click bait.
Then you will have an uncertified HDD on the console and everything that doesn't work (like TW3's performance or crashes) will make you wonder if it has anything to do with the HDD.
It is a very specific model that the devs code for, so I all into keeping the console as unmodified as possible.
B-B-But it has N4G's seal of approval...
From my first play session, it seemed like a really awesome game! I just hoped the walking mechanics were more fluid. It feels like a big waste of time moving the party members one by one when where is nothing else going on.
Anyway, combat is only a portion of the game and I really enjoyed the other parts much more. So many big and relevant decisions.
"Whatever E3 has in store is a mystery and it's far too soon to say it's stale"
It's the only part I disagree with your comment. Agreed overall.
This far, the only debate can be about HOW stale is the industry, specially for big console games, not IF it staled.
I can sum my opinion this way: I bet more than half of Sony's conference (the one that mostly matters to me) will be about games that already took space in E3...
Why critically acclaimed or why remastered?
Both very justified questions.
