By their PR fake logic, Dark Souls, COD, BF and many others couldn't be reviewed prior to launch. It is obviously (to intelligent people) PR BS.
But about the don't trust early reviews, they were smart. The first review is usually a troll one, so they pretty much knew what would happen in that 6/10 fake review.

It might be for some. To me, it doesn't even qualify as a jack. Everything is SO meh and repetitive... Lucky me that wasn't expecting anything above 8.5. Bought it for a 7.5 game and that's what I am seeing.

No, but a lot less sales would occur if people were brought back to reality.
It is not that I think the game will flop. It is just that THEY CAN'T BENEFIT FROM REVIEWS.
The game is being heavily marketed as a 11/10 game and people are swallowing and vomiting this, so not even a 9.3 Metacritic (which it obviously won't have) would benefit Activision and Bungie.

Nonetheless, in an unrelated subject, it will probably be amazing, yes. A solid 80+ Metacritic game.
Battle for Asgard was great, despite getting repetitive as soon as you reach the second chapter.
It had at least one thing other action games lack completely: real large scale battles, dozens or hundreds of beings actually fighting instead of the usual tunnel action with a battle displayed on the battleground. You really had to fight your way through the battle to reach the objective. This is something absolutely overlooked in games overcompromised with graphics.

Also elixir has some utility now after you maxed your level... This comes probably from this issue of people having full elixir storages and nothing to do about it while farming gold for the last walls on the th level...
