Dumbing down.
They couldn't use names like Vraqrtchz if they're trying to "scam" the big masses.
And I say "scam" because their public promises aren't even nearly achieved on the game, yet their actual reason for the game was flawlessly accomplished: to make money even on the vanilla DLC Vending Machine.
But as gamers are mostly idiots, they'll easily sell Destiny 2 as something groundbreaking. Outlets will...
Temperature 100, even without aproval.
Bad name and loads of clicks.
Every time I hear "expansion" for Destiny, I think companies are right to treat gamers like conplete idiots.
The name is DLC.
Also, their "alpha" and "beta" were mostly demos, but not at all "alpha".
It is like "GTA Online". Rockstar says "Hey, together with GTA V, you'll have access for free to GTA Online", a MP game in the same universe.
FFS. It is called GTA V...
I paid 20 bucks.
If I paid 60 on a software designed to be a DLC vending machine, I'd be pissed. But for 20, it's a nice price and good to know I'm not supporting the devs or publishers if the scam.
That said, good game. If it wasn't for the lack of honesty ruining the design of the game, It would be a great one.
No. It's what happens when you disguise a DLC vending machine as a full game.
For sure. When a player has paid 300 USD for the full game (vanilla + cut content sold as "expansions"), I bet it will be a great game.
For now, it is incredibly shallow and filled with terrible ideas, like the barren lands and above all the bullet spounge bosses. Obviously I'm not mentioning DLC again because it was referred above.
Skull, about the "journalism", N4G temperature meter shows that, as in the industry itself, the consumers support the crap. I agree with you on this point.
About the game itself, I disagree about Bungie's take on this. They told you would explore worlds to discover stuff, for instance. Well, the "planets" are maps, the "stuff" to discover... Simply doesn't exist. The maps are full of nothing. I see a cave. I think, nice, lets check it. N...
Beware of imminent fall.
^ So... Tell us more about not having a game and adopting sheep behavior.
I'm intrigued about your "solid, well based and well informed" opinion about Destiny even thoug you never played it. Even more about your opinion on "other people" just following trends... "They" are really naive, aren't "they"?
FYI, Destiny is below 8.0 (sometimes even 7.5) on GameRankings/Metacritic and communities in general are having ...
Haha
Funny and helpful.
Umbasa!
PS: I don't like opening the controllers because I feel like they always get a little less tight after that. This is the least problematic issue of these and I already googled the solution, so I'll live with it for now. Tks anyway.
The minimalism, though, is on the wrong places, because there's an abundance of loading screens and unnecessary menus and restraints.
The connectivity is also very limited. You can play with randoms on open areas, but they disappear once you enter meaningful sections.
Diablo is infinitely more creative, varied, tightly design etc etc etc than the good game Destiny. Still a good game, but come on... Different leagues.
^ that's the major problem.
People will get really bored from playing the same few areas and modes quite soon.
I have 2 controllers.
One has this issue (rubber torn apart) and the r1 sticking when pressed.
The other is unusable. It randomly goes down when I put right, up when left. Forumers don't know how to solve.
To send the 2nd for technical assistance here there are two options"
Paying the price of the controller in international shipping or paying the price of the controller to an overpriced technical assistance.
They have ind...
Diablo 3 for me, if rereleases count.
If they don't, tough fight for the mehest 2014 game.
Sunset Overdrive, Shadows of Mordor, Destiny, Dark Souls 2 are contenders, but I feel like neither of them would be in a proper release year.
PS:
According to Gamerankings, PS4's top 10 has only positions 9 and 10 occupied by new games.
1. The Last of Us Remastered 95.60%
2. flower 93.57%
3. Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Editi...
They already gave the prize to The Walking Dead, so...
Talk about laziness, mr. "journalist"...
LOTR movies are based on the Tolkien's lore blablabla whatever. You're probably the only one who doesn't know.
Ragebait, probably. He/she/it can't be THIS ignorant.
But big deal. All they made was to give their site a very bad name.
If I write an article about horrible websites, this one will deserve its mention.
Im curious. If you want to go to Lammoth, for instance, can you?
Is it a full Middle-Earth open map?
Why? To make less money?
If anything, gamers are paying them for doing more of it.
AC3, Watch Dogs and Destiny both broke sales records for their scams. We support it. Therefore expect MUCH more of it in the future.
Some people really have a fairy tale logic...
