Yup. Another PS3 guy who knows EVERYTHING about why Alan Wake failed yet has no idea what kind of game it actually is. LOL.
Oddly, I mostly see PS3 fans comparing AW and HR. And most of them don't even seem to know how AW plays or anything about it.
Alan Wake is a 3rd person shooter without melee. All the Ps3 fans lecturing about how it would have sold on the PS3 don't even seem to know what kind of game it is. They all seem to think it's like Silent Hill when it's MUCH more of a pure shooter(no melee) with a dodge move and a focus on heading towards the light.
Wow, dumb article, dumb clip AND dumb comments. Threefer.
NO ASPECT OF THIS NFS:HP MARKETING FLUFF, NOR PEOPLE'S KNEEJERK REACTIONS TO IT, IS IN ANY WAY EVEN REMOTELY IMPORTANT, INTERESTING, NOR NEWS.
Same reason the gameplay in MGS4 doesn't look as good as the in game cutscenes. A dev controlling all aspects of the animation and camera angle and scene timing, editing, focus, pan, and zoom and using better post processing in in game cutscenes than in real gameplay due to more avaiable hardware resources when AI and controller is not used usually makes in game cutscenes look better than gameplay. Always has and always will. Unless the dev screws up and makes a really bad looking cutsce...
That's weird. I never thought God of War 3 footage was CGI. Nor Killzone 2(the REAL GAME, not the E3 2005 footage that was done by Blur Studios, the samepeople who did the cutscenes for halo Wars). Nor Uncharted 1 or 2.
It has all the vertical lines of resolution. It's not quite 720P widescreen (16x9 ratio) but it IS 720 lines tall. Horizontal resolution is 90% of widescreen. And Alan Wake looked great so it's not gonna be much of a problem.
And Silent Hill Fans, Resident Evil Fans, GT fans, Final Fantasy fans, etc.
In August Crackdown will probably be a lot cheaper than Crackdown 2.
Poor Inception. Deadly Brand really nailed him and his SDF sabotage bullcrap routine between the eyes! LOL. And he thinks ME2 and Alan Wake were flops and that they have anything to do with Enslaved. What a laughable blithering maroon. Does he really think that if he goes out of his way not to like games that all their good reviews and satisfied fanbase will suddenly just go away like the never existed? You wanna know what flopped Inception? Heavenly Sword flopped, on the PS3. That's why ...
Meh. Sounds like more causal oriented portal-site/gadget stuff. Not really my thing.
No operation Darkness?
I wish you were even half as funny as you probably thought that fourth grade school yard crap you just posted was.
I hate to say it but online game services need to quit catering to people who imagine that they are "going pro someday" over their more average users. If Bungie and Blizzard and Activision (Blizzard) make it hard for normal people to play online they'll have a lot less people playing online and a lot more people badmouthing their online as a police state. They they want to have a zone where quitting or backstabbing get you kicked out then fine but some people will quickly get fe...
Please stop trolling Tiamat. Or being an imbecile. Whichever it is.
People? Don't talk about Halo in Killzone threads and don't talk about Killzone in Halo threads! Is that hard for you to figure out? Are you idiots or something? Jeez.
KEEP TO THE #@#$ing THREAD TOPIC!
No one in either type of thread CARES when you feel the compulsion to talk some retarded smack about how you like 'the other game' better or why. You'll never convince anyone of anything. Nor have you really PLAYED either game yet to compa...
You sound kind of scared.
I other news, Enslaved is also NOT a knock-off of Pokemon Touch, Wing Commander Armada, or Tron Light Cycles. Yup. You heard it here first.
JOURNALISM!
It's a shame that we ran out of the letter that used to be between F and H. I miss that letter a lot. And apparently so does Jim at Destructoid.
I think the fact that this comment thread is full of people angrily (and often ignorantly) arguing about various snippets of politics from their own myopic and single minded points of view makes the author's point very nicely.
Inserting politics into a game (especially a sports, fantasy, or Sci-fi game) is asking for trouble because it is bound to offend or alienate a significant part of that game's audience who just wanted to play game with some escapist qualities an...
