I was never comparing BF and COD. Maybe I wasn't clear enough about that. They offer completely different experiences and don't really fall into the same category in my humble opinion.

I was stating that, as an "arcade" style fps, no other franchise comes close to rivaling COD. I would classify BF as more of a realistic "simulation" fps.

Again, different categories thus not comparable. As far as fan base, yes BF4 does threaten to r...

@JokesOnYou, your comment confused me, as I got the sense you were arguing with me but at the same time driving home my point...not sure.

For now I'll just agree with you.

I don't think the games were ever going to be "played" in the cloud, and we have yet to see whether "cloud computing" has any real benefit (I imagine it does).

But free unlimited cloud storage is such an undervalued asset. With all titles available for digital download this will eventually come in very handy. Especially if you consider how many games you might acquire over the next 10 years.

I can't say which is best because I've played neither and "most" of the games will be released for both consoles.

But, as an Xbox owner (not fanboy), there just wasn't enough to pull me over to the PS4 side. I'll be completely honest, I was seriously leaning towards PS4 until MS reversed their "always online" policy.

But I have nothing against PS4. I hope both systems succeed equally as competition amongst large corporation...

@ McScroggz - Touche good Sir. Lol. Although, I "consider" myself a casual gamer, perhaps you are indeed correct, given the evidence.

I completely disagree for very specific reasons:

1. COD games attract a very specific crowd looking for an action packed, responsive and competitive experience. No other game rivals the COD franchise in its category (those who realize the immense difference between COD and Battlefield know what I'm talking about). Battlefield is a great game, but completely different.

2. Small changes over time may actually keep players, not lose them. The COD games are s...

It comes from creative minds, which may or may not be employed by AAA companies and/or indie companies.

I imagine that with the larger companies comes more red tape before a great idea gets implemented, and with smaller companies comes the potential lack of resources to support a great idea.

...just an idea...

I disagree with this article strictly in the business sense. Microsoft didn't make a mistake. They listened to the angry consumers and made a move in the interest of survival. If they hadn't backtracked, they risked losing too many sales.

It was the angry (and mostly uninformed) consumers that made the mistake of being too quick to deem MS a devil when they hadn't been immediately transparent about their goals. MS could have changed the game for the better, but th...

@HammadTheBeast I'm a casual gamer and I see the $100 price increase as a very worthwhile investment considering everything the Xbox One is capable of.

Now please go find 99 others who are doing the opposite and you'll have proven your point.

Thank you fattyuk for letting us all know that you prefer the PS4 controller. I'm sure you will defend PS4 and slash Xbox One until your dying day -- controller in hand the entire time.

I'm not going to comment on your grammar or spelling as that seems to be a lost cause.

Guys/Gals let's just be completely honest with ourselves. The only determining factor in which console you choose is whether you want to hold a PS4 controller in your hands while gaming, or an Xbox One controller.

'nuff said.

^^^ Why "doesn't" Microsoft...before "they're" registered...

I think Microsoft hires intelligent people with potentially great ideas. Unfortunately it's people like ^^^above who never learned grammar that eventually ruin every potential idea. The same people who probably keep insisting that THEIR opinion is worth something.

"The Kinect camera can reportedly be turned on remotely and record at any time..." Reported by whom??? Where are your sources??? Stop with these bullshit accusations. This is just complete garbage.

I think as long as they can keep it interesting and meaningful you're absolutely right. I think the ideas that came out of "The Division" reveal were truly revolutionary. An open world with a purpose will truly keep people coming back.

Where is this guy's data coming from? I would estimate more towards 99%. Get your unsourced facts straight.

Large strides??? PS4's ONLY stride was E3. After that it seems like they're taking baby steps compared to Xbox One's improvements.

What strides exactly is this article referencing?

Nice backup plan @golding89 but I don't think they can honestly say "impossible" because there's always a chance.
But did you see the pictures of the cooling fan?? Looks bigger than the old VW beetles lol.
