Some surely, but not all. I myself was seriously considering going with PS4 until MS reversed their always-on policy. That put the two consoles back on a level playing field.

But sure, if the original Xbox followed by the 360 were so great, why wouldn't I assume the new one would be any different?

As for the Kinect, MS is allowing developers the finally experiment with a technology by guaranteeing it's use. If they had back...

@DigitalRaptor

Exactly what is it that we're going to learn "the hard way"?

Really though, who's buying a next gen console with the sole intent of playing offline or split screen multiplayer?

And oh my, the camera. People might be watching me stare at my tv. Lol.

Stop kicking this poor dead horse already.

Why do I get the feeling this was written by a PS fan? Oh yeah, because the entire article was 1-sided.

Please rename this article to "PS4, and some Xbox One tidbits"

If they gave it away for free, they'd charge you to turn it on.

@Fireseed

Sharing digital licenses with multiple users on the same machine is absolutely the norm.

When I purchase and install a program on my computer, ANYONE can use it. Family, friends, the pizza delivery guy. It has been this way since "installing" was a concept.

I'm not trying to downplay the feature of accessing the digital library from all Xbox One consoles. That is absolutely awesome for some.

What I AM ...

@ABizzel1

This is why I tried to point out the difference between sharing and lending. Gamers get confused/misled.

Xbox Live Gold members will be able to log on to ANY Xbox One console and access all their digital games. Great feature, truly. But as soon as you log off, POOF. Gone. (unless they are "family")

So don't confuse this with any sort of lending ideas you might have. I think MS is looking into the lending idea, but I do...

Sharing something you own (whether digital or physical) should be a right, not a "bonus feature" worthy of praise.

Also, let's point out that they mentioned nothing in their most recent statement about "lending" games which is much different than sharing. More to come I suppose.

I'm an Xbox One supporter with a pre-order, but this kind of publicity stunt should be seen for what it is.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply!

I notice they didn't say anything about actually "lending" a digital game. They were very keen on their words when they said "sharing" would be possible.

So I'll pose the question.

Can I "lend" a digital game to a friend, for say, one day without having to log on to my friend's console?

@indysurfn

MS has stated that the only time you must connect the internet is during the initial setup of a new Xbox One.

Curious why you're claiming that "...you still have to go online with each game at least once still..."

Please do tell where you're getting your information.

@HammadTheBeast
That's actually a really good question. I guess I was assuming that I could save my entire library to the cloud, but now that you mention it, it's probably more related to things like game saves and profile data.

However MS has stated that any games you own in a digital library can be downloaded to any Xbox One console. I know that's not the same thing but it is a great reason to go digital.

Thanks for pointing that out Ham...

No lines, no hassle, plus free unlimited cloud storage.

Xbox One is awesome.

I think future Xbox One owners (myself included) owe a bit of gratitude to all the PS4 fans for bashing the console so relentlessly, so blindly, that what we are getting now is far superior to what was announced at E3. If there weren't so many people dedicated to transforming every Xbox One announcement into the "next big mistake," the console may have released prematurely IMO.

It's like the PS4 fans are fighting the battle for us. I can only imagine how muc...

I think he might be quoting the Australian price, although he clearly got the release date of the PS4 wrong too, so I'm not sure.

Treyarch has incredible talent and creativity. Gamers sure think so because, as you put it,

"...that's what people like to play..."

Sales are usually a strong indicator of a game's reception, so please stop hacking a company's abstract assets like talent and creativity.

4631d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

@Wizziokid is obviously forgetting that Treyarch's most recent game, Black Ops II, made over $500,000,000 within 24 hours of its release last November.

Clearly both are not dying.

Though I do agree that Activision has been making sub-par games. If Ghosts is a fail, I'm done with the series.

As in, "Help me Obi Wan Kinobi, you're my only hope."

Would be cool if it works like that one day.

I love how Microsoft continues to 1-up every gripe that people can muster, and the complaints keep rolling in.

@Autodidactdystopia one of the reasons the box is so large is to allow for adequate cooling. The hardware was designed to stay on for 10 years straight, so this was necessary to prevent overheating.

Thanks for the free headset MS! Knew you'd come through...once again.

I don't know how many people are doing this, but I held off on pre-ordering all games because of the digital download option. Seems that many games will be released on different dates and I'd rather not wait in lines multiple times.

Anyone else doing this?
