You really think ports are going to get ps3 or xbox owners to hop on the wii u train? Doubtful. I know I could care less about the AC's and Darksiders I could play on my ps3 or 360. It all comes down to Nintendo exclusives and new IP's. Here's hoping to a "real" launch line up, not ports.
Ports are important for different reasons, mainly as a show of 3rd party support. But we all know what makes a console launch a REAL launch are exclusives. This time around people won't bite as easily as they did for the Wii so Nintendo has to really step it up on that dept. Personally I'm hoping for some left field stuff ala Eternal Darkness. I'd like Mario to cut the fluff and take it back to the N64 days.

The only interesting thing on that list is Killer Freaks. Other games? cool ports bro. Hoping Nintendo has a strong first party launch lineup.

Wrong. Baldur's Gate is a game loved by many and even more importantly future projects are in jeopardy.
Not everyone bases success on numbers, so the only one looking ridiculous is yourself. Did the wii fail from an economic standpoint? NO. but it was a weak gimmick system with shovelware nonetheless. I'll take quality over "sales" any day but then again I'm just a gamer.
You'll be hard pressed finding any non loyalists on these threads. While I can't judge the Wii U until I have concrete specs and have seen it in action, I fully agree with "the last slap in the face" called the Wii. I'm hoping for the best, but based on their last attempt.. well I'll leave it at that.

how fanboys defend that system is beyond me. I was a first day adopter and sold mine a year later while it still had value. For every one decent - good game there were 80 shovelware titles. You people are so backwards to defend the wii. I loved my n64, snes to death but be real the wii sucked. I'm hoping for the best with the Wii U but I'll save judgement until E3 and a couple of months after the wii u's release. I won't fall for the same trick twice.

Here's hoping to something along the lines of Powerstone or even SSB. I'd be deeply disappointed if it turned out to be another SF like "hardcore" fighting game. We have enough of those.
