Because instead of that 3d Mario you mentioned, we get a lazy 3ds 2d Mario port. That Zelda game is really early in its development stage. No signs of metroid whatsoever, and smash bros is very unlikely to be coming out next year. So all those titles are eventual titles that may come out 2 years or longer from now.

The limited quantity preorders are selling out. It's an obvious marketing ploy manipulating people into thinking the need and demand for the Wii U is extremely high.
The only battle they've won is the battle against the Wii.
Sales not happening. Casuals won't pick this up over an iPad etc. the wii went in with huge momentum and anticipation, the casuals ate it up like candy had it for a while and discovered it was a gimmick. They won't be easy to convince to pick up a wii2. Informed non Nintendo fanboys will wait about a year to see next gen announcements before deciding to buy a wii2.
I hated the wii not disliked but hated. I also really dislike Reggie. As of right now I have 0 interest in the wii u, but if Nintendo surprise announces a new contra, metroid, double dragon, eternal darkness, wave race, f-zero, or star fox, we just might be able to make friends again. My curiousity with Nintendo dies as soon as PS4 announces so let's get these done quick.

Well said. Nintendo was my friend up until the wii who turned out to be a douche. The brand loyalty thing is really uninspired and frankly sad. These fanboys defending anything due to brand loyalty and grasping at straws is beyond me.

And out of those 50, 0 system sellers. Pikmin? Bayonetta? Rayman? While those games might be appealing to the Nintendo loyalists, they won't make me want to buy the system at launch. N64 only had a handful of launch games. Mario 64 was a system seller. Nintendo could have impressed, with a real mario, eternal darkness, metroid, smash, zelda, f-zero, starfox, but they didn't and it might be a little too little and little too late once those get released.
While the concept and the gameplay look pretty interesting. I'm a little disappointed with the graphics. I'm not a graphic whore nor do I expect this to look like current PC games. Still though looking at that HD trailer the graphics seem second rate current gen. The hands, arms, and certain textures look very mediocre.
I'll keep an eye out for this game. I just would of liked for a flagship title like this specific to the Wii U to come out swinging at the very l...
