It's valid, if we have to stare at those ugly and expressionless faces for too long at a time.
But seriously, a good game is a game in the first place, it shouldn't rely too much in exposition.
If the alternative to endure too long cutscenes is to skip them and miss the story, that's not really a choice, isn't it?
Edit: I'm saying this, but it all depends on the story. I didn't mind the many cutscenes in Xenosaga 1 an...
And yet, it performs better than on consoles. You mean with graphical details and view distance on maximum detail? Well, the consoles can't even run it, that's worse.
On my part, the game runs smoothly with everything maxed out, except Depth of Field and Motion Blur (I don't like those graphical effects). 70FPS+ My GPU is a GTX780, so it's not a top of the line one (although still above average).
Clickbait. They only mention the titles subject right in the end of the article, saying they don't know why, only when we play the full game. Pathetic.
If we want to avoid this trend of incomplete released games, false advertising, unannounced p2w microtransactions, etc, we have to stop pre-ordering games and only buying after the release date, after watching and reading reviews, opinions, etc.

Rime and maybe Bloodborne. I've played Dark Souls so much that I've end up not finishing DS2. I'm yet to start playing Lords of the Fallen (I've played only 1 hour). I hope I'm not burned out of the genre.
You're being generous. If the game is only about traveling from planet to planet to see what their random generator comes up to, then I'll be bored after a couple hours.
Very nice. Thank you.
"Says PETA member Julianne McManus “Sure, they may breathe fire, and eat sheep, which is gross, and, like, burn villages, but why do they do these things? I think it’s cos we try and kill them all.”"
Ok, now I'm sure this is fake.
Don't click the link. It will ask you to download a patch, but before you'll have to participate in one of those surveys that will spam your email or ask your phone number to subscribe you to a useless service.
Then I guess the game isn't very SLI friendly, because I have a single GTX780 and I get locked 60FPS (with V-Synch and a 60Hz monitor). Sometimes the framerate drops, but it's uncommon to happen and never bellow 45FPS. Without the V-Synch, the average is 80FPS, but then there's plenty of framerate drops (a drop from 80 to 45 is much more noticeable than from 60 to 45).
Anyway, I find it curious that you get precisely my performance, but with double the cards.
I confess this decision doesn't affect me, as I never played the multiplayer of Far Cry 3 (tried once and didn't like). And always thought that the editor was a waste if we couldn't make decent single player maps (I don't know if that feature was added later, because initially there was no AI and other things important for a single player game).
I'm glad they're concentrating on the single player experience, although I feel your outrage. This clearly r...
Meh.... Gears of Wars with co-op and nicer graphics. I'll pass.
It's not that linear. You might enjoy something in the short term, but be hurting yourslef in the long term. An extreme example is drugs.
Another example, is the series Lost. We all enjoyed it. But that ending, made many people feel like it was all a waste of time. But this one is debatable.
The point is: even if you enjoy something, it can be a waste of time. You could be doing things better for your health (physical, mental, social) and happiness.
My guess is that Valve didn't want Ubisoft to sell on Origin and tried to force a "it's me or her" situation, but it backfired.
Wow, the trailer makes us wonder how's the yeti, except for the final part where it shows the season pass cover.
That's not so linear. What is 8K resolution for, if the detail and poligon count won't be up to par? It's not just a matter of resolution, it's about making more detailed graphics, better AI, etc. Of course, doing almost two different games just to exploit each console/PC limits, isn't efficient or cost effective.
It's ten times smaller than Skirim... But Skirim was huge. Half a kilometer wide is big enough.
Although I wish they could be more ambitous with the editor and allow to edit the full campaign map. But I guess that kind of editor wouldn't be possible on a console.
Damn, even editors are dumbed down for consoles. :)
This... Is... BS!
It won't change. Combat was always the weak point of the witcher games. Too light, too much jump and rolls, not satisfying. You play The Witcher for its story and setting, the combat is something you have to endure.
