Taking into account that game development is much different today than it was then, it is 100% the PS2 of this generation.

I think they both look great and will be getting both, but I'm excited for Horizon more because it a new IP. I've played lots of Zelda's, most of them have been top tier. For Horizon I'm in love with the setting and it being an RPG that has what looks to be a top of the class combat system for the genre, not a weak point of a game that you have to look past.
Exactly, the number is almost double and the remaining could easily be outset by the plethora of options PS4 users have when it comes to games. Indie and Retail.
Xbox users options are more limited.
UC4 was 5 days before release.
Red Dead Redemption could actually be an amazing movie if done right.
PlayStation is killing it.

Broken Horizon looks and sounds like a sequel to Lost Planet.
About the Xbox being up YOY, last year holidays the Xbox One had the "fire sales" on the OG XBox One (with all the free games). The sales were down significantly last January because it went back up to normal price.

I doubt it and it will be a great example of why Xbox should focus on purchasing studios.
It's (FH3) one of the only over producing titles from them this gen and they don't even own them, it's kind of ironic.
Pretty much expected regarding Forza Horizon 3 (selling 2.5M units). Good numbers compared to the previous iterations.
