I view it more as a portable, that's the intriguing part of it anyway, that you can have console quality games on the go.
$250 on it's own is a very good price. Don't know how that will fare in reality though. 3DS released at $250 when it launched and the price was cut shorty after. Obviously the Switch offers way more value at this price than the 3DS did. So who knows. All I know is I'm hoping for a console quality open world Pokemon game for the Switch.
"Just Another Walking/Running simulator"
You obviously didn't watch past the first two minutes.
Game looks good to me.
"Sony likes to attack the first 3-4 months of the new year"
First 4-6 months actually with 1-2 titles during the holidays which is a good when you look at the year as a *whole*
"Sony likes to sprinkle it around no doubt, but for the past two holidays their lineup has been a little thin"
If you acknowledge that they 'sprinkle it around' why is this a negative then? Or why is this really an issue? Would it have...
Don't know how what Digital said here is any different than what he'd typically say in the past.
Take away this sentence: ***"Now we have another major 2017 game canceled in Scalebound (which was in all honestly looking like absolute cack from the very beginning)"***
And put EXACTLY what he wrote here in an Xbox article yesterday he'd be called a troll...
Now MS cancels Scalebound (which in all honestly had a lot of potenti...
This article is completely pointless and unnecessary.
Wouldn't really call it a 'catch.' Plenty of devices don't allow for upgradable batteries nowadays. This isn't a deal breaker. Now if the battery life the Switch comes with is poor, that is what I would call a catch. We have to wait and see.
So this is what n4g has turned into... at least with the bubble system this ^^^^^^^ guy would be limited to a single post...
"Jesus people. If you seriously want to charge someone with hypocrisy at least read & consider what they're saying before defaming them"
XD 😂
You know damn well people on here are quick to throw the hypocrisy card. Especially when it comes to generalizing a group or 'contingent'(if you will 😉) of people. lol
edit: not a minute too soon... 😂
Edit:
@Septic

Yeah the introduction of this 'article' screams childish and fanboyish. Phil never came across as "angry" or "mad" in those tweets, yet this 'professional writer' claims that he was.
Also what you pointed out is true. Creative freedom is key. Doesn't matter how talented a dev is, if they're being forced to make the same games or are only allowed to make safe game with mainstream appeal. Imagine if ND was forced to make UC forever?...
"You guys are drooling over Nier. I could only imagine what Platinum is doing with Dragons on the Scorpio!"
.... The point of saying this is...?
Nier is looking like another solid release from Platinum... Scalebound from what we've seen is so far so promising...
Both will mostly likely end up being quality releases...
It Ain't Hard to Tell -NaS
What are the sources for those deals though?
The tone of article makes me doubt the validity of those deals.
"Spencer is angry now" "you have no talented studios"... this 'article' comes off as a gamingbolt article accept it's clearly biased against MS instead of PS given the tone the 'author' is using.
I can't take the writer's word on it. I need to know where he is getting the info from....
So are those the main reasons why you bought your console?
"Exclusive titles once determined the success of a console but those days may be coming to an end"
If not exclusives then what determines the success of a console? Luck?
That would make the game BF with KZ skin... unless done in a unique way.
I wouldn't mind it, but it would have to be very very different from Battlefield otherwise you might as just play the real thing.
Yes!
I can't wait to see what they do with KZ on consoles. Mercenary was really good MP-wise!
"Many are quick to crap all over it despite many elements appearing in other games"
That's exactly the issue. KZ2 was very unique when it launched. And then all the games after it save for Mercenary were just trying to take what other popular FPS did and add it to Killzone. Those who were huge fans of KZ2 were pissed about it.
Forget multiplayer? lol
If it weren't for KZ2's MP I would not be a fan of this series at all. KZ2's SP was ok and 3's was better. I never played it, but according to those that did, KZ1 has the best story.
GG should put a lot more focus on the SP because while they may at least been enjoyable, they have been far from masterpieces.
MP-wise GG needs to go back to the mentality they had back in the KZ2 era where it was ta...
R&C came out this year and they are testing the waters for Crash... so your point that Sony could have put money towards those holds little weight.
And so because Titanfall 2 and Watch Dogs 2 flopped sales wise you're saying that Respawn and Ubisoft shouldn't have made them in first place? TF2 could have sold a lot better had it released at a different time.
What if the game ends up being good the second go around?
There have been plenty of games where I didn't like the first one, but enjoyed the second.
"If it is 249 wouldnt that mean theoretically the parts inside the switch are outdated, weak, or undesirable?"
Could be selling it at a loss.
EDIT: I skimmed through your comment at first and have now read the entire thing.
Ignore what I initially said.
