Because they belong on ALL platforms right? MS makes money either way right?

So you're saying all those in denial that were cheerleading and doing cartwheels and clinked wine glasses when the Activision deal went through, now very deeply regret it and instead wished Microsoft went the traditional route of building new IPs instead of buying up established ones that were already multiplat???

I like that Phil is now only talking in regards to Xbox. In the past he would be like 'this is the way the entire industry will go. Console exclusives will happen less and less.' always dragging Sony and Nintendo into it. Now it seems like he's just saying this is the way forward for Xbox specifically.

They will eventually.

***"Everybody (developers and gamers) complained that Gamepass wasn't sustainable."***

Everyone? There have been plenty of arguments on this and I'm sure you were one saying that it was sustainable.

***"What people fail to understand, is that Gamepass isn't forced on anyone."***

What you fail to understand is the false promises Phil and Microsoft is making. Day one games was something that you were beatin...

Why did they announce this BEFORE it was released on XB/PC? Might as well do a simultaneous release.

You don't need an Xbox to play any of their games on console. If that's winning to you then sure be confused.

You're going to completely ignore RauLeCreuset's post lol?

Also that's one way to spin it. Another spin is that you don't need an Xbox. You can just buy a PlayStation and get the best of both worlds on console.

Play games not how much money MS is making and their MAU metrics. What happened to that mantra lol

I don't want to see the now happy faces of those who used this as an excuse for why the Activision deal should go through, if the rumor ends up true. They called Sony scummy for making a 3rd party game permanently exclusive(even though it was known that it was timed), but buying up the industry including the desire to buy Nintendo is perfectly okay and not scummy at all.

I hope that the getting rid of paid multiplayer is true! Should have never cost a penny to begin with! It's fitting that Microsoft is the first to end it because they were the first to start it! I really hope this is true and that Sony will follow suit.

This is first time Sony mentioned MAU?

"Next thing you know, they will offer up day 1 first party releases in PS+ Ultra (new tier above premium). And people will say its the best thing since sliced bread."

And then later add a new Ultra+ tier and remove day one games from the Ultra tier and people will say they didn't remove anything and still say it's the best thing since sliced bread.

That isn't a high bar to overcome now is it?

@JEECE

I will tell you this, if they remake Killzone 2 from the ground up and keep the core gameplay the same, I guarantee it will sell millions. The only reason why it did not do well at the time was because anything that did not play like a twitch shooter CoD was pretty much considered trash. That type of thinking is gone now and many people have since acknowledged KZ2 was great game. I think both those who are nostalgic and those that missed out on KZ2 when it was at it&...

"You miss the mark every time and talk in circles. The hypocrisy that you are attempting to integrate into this situation is not relevant"

Lol, Why is not? Because you say so? Or because it diminishes the point you're trying to make? I'm literally using your reasoning for why it is relevant.

And you are no stranger to bringing up irrelevant things into a situation so I don't understand why you try to hold others to a standard that yo...

Agreed! I don't understand why the transparent controller died. They were always my favorite colors to own. Glad that MS is doing this, hopefully Sony follows suit.

Aaaaand that's exactly what I was showing you and the MS Brigade when the roles are reversed. MS has nothing at all to do with this article but you brought them up to show a difference in reaction. I did the same to counter your call out.

How am I all over the place? I think my point is very very clear. You just don't want to acknowledge and address your hypocrisy.

Okay, l'll bite and play your "I know exactly what you are talking, but will pretend I don't know and call you silly" game.

Translation: We don't have a previous release that we can copy and paste from so we have to build from scratch. Since our sports devs are not used to doing this, it would take many many years to get it at it's current state without AI, even though game development has been fine for decades without it.

CEOs and others at the top of companies do these kind of things all the time whether their company is struggling or not. Hell even regular folks don't change their habits during tough times nowadays opting to go into credit card debt to maintain their lifestyle when times were good.

This is why I'll never understand the concept of giving heads of companies money to pass down to employees. If there aren't any serious consequences they're most likely to use i...

"What is bloody hell does that have to to with this situation or topic?"

What the bloody hell does Microsoft have to do with this article hmmm?

You want to point out double standards and hypocrisy, and I'm pointing out another instance where the roles reversed. You have shown time and time again to only seem to have that itch to call it when it's certain way........ don't get mad at me for pointing that out.
