$400 is the "magic" price. I hope it's true.
Microsoft never gave people a reason to buy a Series console though. Bethesda and Activision purchases came after launch which is too late. The games that they did release before acquisitions were mostly disappointments. Post acquisitions the damage was already done and they had to start slowly releasing their games outside of their own platform almost immediately after acquiring which disincentivizes people from either jumping ship or purchasing another console. Microsoft has only themselves...
You're not making the point you think you're making...
@andy85
"I honestly still think it'll sell out. They could have priced it whatever they like and a lot of heavy gamers buy it"
We'll see. I was one of those that was like "I'll buy it at any price!" until they price it at any price.... and now I'm definitely not purchasing it at $700. Switch 2 and will PS6 I'd rather put that $700 toward those.
$700 is DOA imo.
Pointless upgrade since most will not buy it.
Atta boy Phil.
Sitdown, be humble.
Well, I've reached out to Phil Spencer himself.
The response he gave sort of implied that the devs here are lying/hiding something...
He told me that "We can't comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders, but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the center of that"
Hard to tell where the defacto bs starts and begins 😵💫
Sarcasm b...
So whether this deal is true or not you shouldn't be angry since it's already out on PC right?
If this turns out to be false. You better not disappear and not call out MS on the lie since you're very passionate about this.
"So you can GTFO with your weirdo fanboy bs."
The irony is crazy here.
But I saw you do a backflip when you saw the player count though?
You finally have something to be happy about, eh?
30% to release on PlayStation...
Sony is getting royalties from MS that they were never getting before. Just stop. Sony is making money on both software and hardware. MS is not. I don't know why you're acting like Sony isn't making money off of software too. Difference is, if you're a console gamer you need a PlayStation can't say the same for Xbox much longer...
Were you saying this at the beginning of this gen or last? Or are you only saying this because MS went this route?
People always seem to be okay with something AFTER Microsoft goes that route. Like with day one games. All of sudden it should have been exclusive to Ultimate from the start, but NOBODY was saying that prior only AFTER price hike and removal from lower tier. Same is happening with exclusives. All of a sudden everyone should be able to play all games on all cons...
Wait. I thought owning both consoles makes you a real gamer not a loyalist. I've been told on here numerous times that you are allowed to bash any console of your choosing as long as you own all consoles. Who's telling me the truth, you or the gamers with multiple consoles?
Loved these games as a kid.
Once you open the flood gates it's hard to close them back. MS sees the money they are getting from PS on Acti and Bethesda titles why would the thought of putting their original Xbox studio titles on PS as well not cross their mind? Especially if their goal is to consistently grow the business YoY?
You are 100% correct. This is true, but how many were actually saying that because it was a nice excuse to justify the purchase, but secretly thinking that they would in fact make it exclusive? MS keeping games multiplatform doesn't help or hurt any side so the fact a lot were pushing for it to happen was telling. You can say it was for day one games on gamepass but we've seen that MS reworked their GP model because of it and do not be shocked if they increase the price of it again ne...
Why are games that have already released being removed from Standard though, new subscribers or not? They've already released and therefore aren't "day one" anymore. Microsoft should not get a pass for this.
This again goes to show how unsustainable day one games were from the beginning.
