I know its N4G, but I don't think its quite fair to criticize MS because they charge $50 a year while PSN doesn't. Sony had no choice but to make PSN free. No one in their right mind would have bought PSN when it came out if it cost money, especially with XBL so cheap and so much better (again....at the time). Instead of realizing this, they bash on MS because PSN had no choice but to be free.
@silva
they also have never raised the price either. I'd say that is a pretty big thing to point out, especially when the service is 7 years old.
What other company today would start a very primitive online gaming service for one price, and during the next seven years never increase the price, but at the same time, drastically increasing the quality of the service. You wouldn't think MS.
I am very happy to pay what I pay for XBL. It...
NOT ON N4G!!!!
How is it hard to understand?
You PS3 fanboys complain soo much about how $4.17 a month is much to pay for online gaming plus everything that XBL has to offer. You then go and spend THE SAME AMOUNT (when the online gaming you are so desperately protecting is STILL FREE) for a rental service and slight discounts. And then you somehow try and tell me that its a better deal!?!?
I'm not a fanboy either. I think the PS3 is BY FAR better than the 360. I'm s...
It makes zero sense to say that something is better deal because it is optional.
At least you are getting something when you pay for XBL.
You guys complain about $50 for online gaming and then you go and waste the same amount of money and get so much less. I'm not saying that paying for online gaming is right, but you guys are so dumb in your reasoning.
Thats the same argument that people make with Demon Souls, its acceptable then?
I thought it was original, but it really wasn't a leap forward (it wasn't a leap back either). Zatrox, you hit it on the head. There is absolutely no way I could play that game twice. Because no matter how original the game was, doing all those little mundane tasks over again isn't appealing to me.
Plus I basically had to play through it 1.5 times because half of my saves were erased when the Y2K (or whatever it was) thingy hit the PS3.
I also love how the fanboy in you just automatically decides that its MS's fault and not the devs of Fable.
Its activision's fault for COD, but MS's fault for Fable 3?
Interesting.
You are seriously calling facebook a feature because you can access it on the browser.
So the PS3 also has a Transvestite Midget Porn feature?!?!?!
You also have an Xbox.com feature...WOW.
You guys crack me up sometimes.
@nickjkl
Death racer is talking about things that have been taken by the opposing console.
Not sure what your list is talking about.
thats still more expensive than XBL or PSN...sorry I just can't see people doing this? Does anyone know if this service offers anything more than what you would normally get on your PC?
oh yeah i forgot about RE. RE1 was definitely very scary.
When I first started playing Alan Wake, it was around midnight and I can honestly say that I stopped playing because I was scared. I was alone in a huge house though.
After a while it wasn't scary anymore, but at first it was.
This will fail on XBL and PSN unless they make it free. There is no way anyone is going to pay more for this than the xbl or psn + the hulu service itself.
There is no question that the xbox is SOOO easy to navigate, and just because 2 year casual xbox owner doesn't know how to install a game on a hard drive doesn't mean it is hard. ITs literally two buttons. Hit Y when then hit Install Game. That's literally all you have to do. WOWOWOW So hard lol. What are you talking about that its "under your sceenname"? Do you even own an xbox?
Secondly...how does isntalling a game have anything to do with XBL not bei...
You are truly sad midgard.
Do you go around to every PSN+ vs XBL article crying that XBL doesn't have a completely non necessary browser.
@below
I go in a lot of articles and I just see you say the same thing.
Gotta love how you and everyeone else say that PSN+ is better than XBL Gold because PSN has free online gaming.
and PSN +
You are seriously saying that XBL has not been questioned and scrutinized as much as PSN plus??? Are you joking. The only thing a PS3 fanboy like you can talk about is how online multiplayer cost money and the differences between it and XBL. Before this article was even posted a similar article titled" Is Xbox Live Worth It?" was submitted.
To add to that, XBL has been around for 7 years. If they introduced something new like Sony has, do you really think it wouldn&...
