Good point.
We also have to realize that Kinect "failing" has different definitions based on where you are looking. On N4G it fails, but to other more casual audiences it might be a complete success.
Look at the Wii. For the most part, most hardcore members don't even recognize the existence of the Wii as a console (figuratively), but look at how successful it is.
Not to get nit-picky and frankly it doesn't really matter, but the PS3 to 360 troll ratio is so far one sided its ridiculous. Of course there are going to be 360 trolls, this is N4G. But come on, if you have been on this site for a week you can see that there is an obvious bias.
For every one 360 troll comment you have 10 PS3 troll comments.
There is no personal opinion in Omega's statement. He is making a prediction.
IT may be completely wrong, or right. He is showing no support either way. Lay off.
you are joking right?
You are honestly tell me that Alan Wake hasn't been shit on by you and your cronies for being in development for too long. You seriously have to be retarded. I can't even being to imagine how you could make something like that up. The worst part is, people agree with you.
yeah its anything but a failure and still looks to be one of the best games this gen...but i would like to point out that if any other 360 title was delayed this long there would be absolutely no end to the criticism it would receive by a certain N4G majority party.
I don't play sports games because of that very same reasoning. So I don't know your point is.
the first game was very underrated, but the 2nd one is exactly the same
really disappointed in the reviews. I really enjoyed the first one, but to hear that its pretty much exactly the same is sad. I might gamefly it if there is nothing out. :(
I loved the Metal Gear 4 story. It was fantastic. Alan Wake was also very good. I still think UC2 had a weak story though. It was the only weak part of the game imo, but the Story was like every other National Treausre, Indiana Jones movie. And of course it was unique when it comes to content, but it has all been done before...a lot.
Because people are paying for something that they think is better than PSN, and really truly is, they aren't thinking rationally?
Now who's not thinking rationally? Or is that just the ignorant fanboy in you?
I already have the games that they are offering for free, so the $50 would go towards discounts on games. The $50 will completely negate any discount that I would get, so it isn't worth it for me.
lol @ Home
Gamefly is $22 for ANY 2 games at any time, not to mention the always discounted price you can keep the games at. Add in Gamefly rewards and I don't see how your argument holds up.
If you could maybe pick 2 of any games per month to get free or something like that, then maybe. The games they give away for free may be awesome games, but many people might already have them.
Good point.
A lot people pay a little extra for things that they think are a little better than what they would get for free. This is no different.
gotta love fanboy speculation
PSN doesn't and isn't winning, that's what I don't understand.
It would be completely different if i was arguing the same point and PSN had more unique subscriptions. The fact still remains that even though you can have as many accounts as you want for PSN, XBL still has more paid subscriptions.
I am happily paying for XBL and I have a PSN account, I think it is better than PSN. you cannot tell me that I am wrong. I can't tell you that you...
How does it feel to make up sh*t and somehow try and use it to prove your point
"We’d rather play an honest £40 with no ‘extras’ for a basic service that works effectively than count up ‘extra value’ and ‘freebies’."
First of all he is comparing the value of XBL to PSN+, NOT XBL to PSN.
Did you even read the title of the article?
Also, where does it say anywhere that he would rather pay to play online than play for fre...
FunAndGun
I don't think you understand.
If you have $50 would you rather spend it on Live or PSN+?
No where does mandatory vs optional come into the equation.
Edit: @ everyone
So is XBL Gold offering more than PSN+? Would you rather go with free online with PSN and get PSN+ for $50, or stick with XBL. That's the real question. How many more people have unique XBL paid subscriptions? Look it up. You ...
Maybe in Belgium, but when my girlfriend sees violence, she is immediately turned off from the game.
I also don't see how the average female anywhere else but maybe Belgium plays 7 hours a week.
Is the article talking about female gamers or females in general, because there is a huge difference.
Definitely think it would have sold better on PS3, but better marketing would have helped. I didn't see a single commercial.

Like most people are saying, its not a multiplayer shooter, not even multiplayer, so the 360 may have been the wrong platform.
As a multi-console owner I would have to say I look at the PS3 as my go to single player campaign console, and the 360 as my go to multiplayer console. From the sales trends i don't seem to far off.
