I don't get why.
Of the big 3 next-gen consoles the WiiU has the 2nd highest install base globally and continues to outsell the XBO. If support for one of the big 3 has to be dropped at all then the logical choice is letting go of the X-Box One.
I think all 3 consoles deserve support, though. All have relatively big install bases with gamers clamoring to play games of all genres on them.
I'm sad to see PlayStation HOME go, even though it's not for my region. When used for its intended purpose, HOME is a great community tool.
Using the service it's possible to meet up for game launches, easily meet other PlayStation gamers outside a game environment just to chat, and perhaps build a real mini-community within HOME's massive install base.

While Halo is a massive franchise, the Master Chief Collection is exclusive to the X-Box One. Even if everyone who owns an X-Box One bought the MCC it could still easily be overwhelmed by PS3 + PS4 + 360 + XBO pre-orders for "Destiny."
I agree with you that "Destiny" is over-hyped, though.
I don't know. AngelMike says the beta feedback was overwhelmingly positive but I'm not sure where he was looking. From what I was reading it was a pretty mixed bag with many feeling disappointed. That's not to say it came off poorly, it just didn't live up to early expectations.

It's likely only a timed-exclusive, but this is why I don't support X-Box, they're the dark side of gaming.

Someone already has, it's called U-Stream. From my time with it, U-Stream seems to have better picture quality and less lag than Twitch as well.
I'm glad us PlayStation gamers got support for this out-the-door. To the X-Box brethren, you have my sympathies.
I would say sure. Mouse & keyboard might give you an edge over controller while PlayStation Move gives you an edge over mouse & keyboard, but edges only matter at the game's high-end and fact is most of us will never reach that level of play.
It's kind of sad that an independent developer is implementing this rather than Nintendo itself.

I somewhat agree with Lava.
I got into the beta and within a day and a half hit level 8, completed all story missions, many mini-missions (those level 4 Vanguard missions), and got some pretty decent gear. I had a lot of fun but during my 3rd day in the beta I was getting kind of bored. The live events are a fun way to shake things up but overall the game feels deprived of content.

I'm really hoping for a "Heavenly Sword 2" for PS4. With the new CG movie just around the corner, sort-of, I can understand a renewed interest in the franchise from PlayStation.

I've said it before but from what I've seen "No Man's Sky" won't just be game of the decade, but game of the generation. As a sci-fi game it ticks all my most wanted and dreamed about check boxes; "Destiny" doesn't even come close to the promise of "No Man's Sky."

The problem with GameStop, for the most part, isn't their store employee; GameStop's hate derives from the instructions passed along by upper management.
Many of the employees are just victims of, on the one side, the ridiculous practices pushed on them by their corporate employers, and on the other side, by irate customers giving them a hard time for following those practices; practices they likely don't want to do but have absolutely no control over.
