And his analysis of the past doesn't seem that sound.
"Pachter continued by explaining that gamers have demonstrated not to be very interested in peripherals with the exception of Kinect, so they’re probably not going to buy Morpheus en masse"
Do a lot of people still care about Kinect, or would they rather have the $100 off?
A rising tide lifts all boats. More companies jumping in helps take it out of the realm of niche or gimmick.
Do you have something to say?
"When combined with Xbox One's recent sales momentum, Microsoft looks set to pull ahead of Sony for console dominance."
Is this a joke?
Add one more to the total. Just ordered it a couple of minutes ago.
Yeah, VR isn't a gimmick. It's true immersion, and that makes a difference.
It's half the population of America. That's pretty huge.
But, it'd be a cool mode for MLB the Show. So ridiculously fast paced and fun. Nice change of pace from the grind of a simulation game.
In the second case, if your laptop is nearby you can charge via the USB port on the laptop.
Fun game. I suck at it. I've only gotten 14 days.
Very good - NBA2K14
Good - FIFA 13
Very good - Assassins Creed IV
Poor - Killzone Shadow Fall single player.
Resogun is difficult, but fun.
The multiplayer has been top notch. Easily as fun IMO as any Battlefield or COD multiplayer.
I personally liked a lot of KZ2. The mech portion was fun, the nail gun was awesome. KZ3 had poor storytelling, true. I admit, I am not enjoying the single player campaign of Shadow Fall. It's unfocused, a series of tropes, poor voice acting. Silly script. Some dark set pieces with no flashlight. OWL can be a pain to get the right command swiping the touch pad.
Like, Scott, like, Lowe, like, interviews, like, Mark, like, Cerny, like.
Because I worry I'll be conditioned to start every sentence I speak by saying "Xbox ___"
Still gotta get it. I'm still playing FIFA 12, and need the upgrade. Plus, playing with the new controller...
"You think patents apply to the Chinese? If there's demand for a low-cost, poorly made HMD, they're going to do it regardless of who has patented what."
The infringing products will be seized at the port of arrival. You can't sell products that infringe U.S. patents in the United States. Cheap knock-offs sold on the sidewalk in Times Square are negligible.
So yes, yes I do think patents apply to the Chinese. Also, China is slowly startin...
If there were no patents, a chinese company would reverse engineer the Oculus Rift and stamp them out for half the cost.
Also, how is patenting "alerting a gamer to a real-world emergency, such as the sound of an alarm or a crying baby, or an object moving quickly towards your head. The HMD patent discusses head motion detection and image stabilisation, among other things." undermining the complete existence of Oculus Rift?
Good idea. I'll check it out.
Yeah, remember it can't be used wirelessly with the PS3. I feed my HDMI cable through a wall with the PS3 in a closet, and my micro-USB isn't long enough to let me use the DS4.
I went from FIFA 12 to FIFA 14 and was shocked at how different it played. Way harder. I miss FIFA 12. That's the gameplay i want.
