I don't care what Microsoft says. They are fools to say they don't need Blu-Ray. They know it, I know it, and a lot of people around the world do too. The evidence is in the games that keep taking graphical and content hits because DVD's haven't got the space. And the developers complaining about DVD space. Tbh, this sounds like out right damage control after the revelation that Team Bondi is having annoyanced with fitting L.A.Noire on DVD-9. Not the industries fault Microsoft went for a last...
Went to the Launch Event in London earlier that Kitase attended. Got to see the man in the flesh. Seems so down to earth >=] Was good. And I noticed, that the vast majority were buying on PS3. I would say about 6:4 / 7:3 in favour of the PS3. BUT, it was nice that all the fans, no matter what console were united in the hype. Playing the game now. So that I don't spoil it...the segment where you first play as Vanille and Hope, the visuals are stunning
Anyone else notice how 5 out of 20 of those games are PS3 exclusives? Just goes to show the sheer quality of games that push the PS3. So proud to own this system
Destructoid gave it 10/10. Lord have mercy. GoTY confirmed
This is so true. The Wii is a system only Nintendo is benefiting from financially. Them, and say big corps like Activision and EA who force shovelware of popular franchises on the system. Great 3rd party games however are not selling.
Yeah I bet it is....
I love the "Star" campaign Sony is doing here in the UK (and EU I assume). They did the same with Heavy Rain and the adverts for the Slim (OH and Uncharted 2) Very well put together. These will probably hit TV once FFXIII ads are out of the way me thinks. Have yet see this one yet but MS is spamming E4 and Channel 4 with FFXIII commercials
this was established an age ago. If they didn't start it until the JP version was finished, then why was it that they showed a 360 build of the game running at E3 2009, then in the autumn of that year, say the PS3 version was 90% complete, and the 360 version 70%?
If they had finished the JP version it would have been released a lot earlier than it did over there. And here. Face it, FFXIII was multiplatform longer than we were lead to believe, that, or the 360 port was rushed to no end....
So much for Valve "trying to push development on the PS3". I Knew it was pure PR talk for their incompetence of trying something new and challenging. Ah well, will get it for PC. Doesn't take a super computer to run Portal for Christ's sake.
Obviously someone hasn't left primary school because they fail to see the use of PLURAL right in front of their eyes.
So it looks like, just as Valve has done, Itagaki has realized he can't troll against a great system thats leading the industry in next gen gaming experiences. Now he's jumping on the bandwagon and at least trying to see what the PS3 can do. Still though, not excited for whatever this is. The guy he a douche through and through and his games hold less fidelity in the gaming world than he or some of his blind fangirls like to think.
Bye bye bots
On Feb 28th, when GMT date line had passed into March 1st, Old model PS3's worldwide began to bug. No one could sign into PSN, Trophies were missing and single player games that required trophy syncs on start up wouldn't work. The problem was that the PS3's internal clock thought it was a leap year, so while PSN was saying it was March 1st, PS3 was looking for February 29th 2010, which doesn't actually exist. So it was almost frozen in between two real dates. But, naturally, when GMT date lin...
both
Today? WHat on earth? I picked this up on the tube yesterday. It was only a short article. And by the time it was released, the problem had been fixed for over 12 hours.
heck, I was on the undeground today, and was reading the paper, and the "crisis" managed to make headline news haha
It was a funny 24 hours though. No one can lie. Lot's of banter on the forums, sites, it will definitely go down in history...and it created memes such as "PS3- It only does self-ressurection, PS3- It only does Jesus, PS3- It only does Life.". So it's all good haha. Quite funny when you look back on it.
The reasons as to how it fixed itself. God ...
What on earth. This article is whack. It doesn't even link the two events. It just states two events that are occurring. Sony are getting blasted today.
The irony is that Sony has not made a single claim. It's just Keighley and his hype train AGAIN. Did you even read the article?
I don't know why 360 supporters are getting their panties in a bunch saying about this article. They're the ones who keep protesting "bu bu itz in teh Alpha stagezzz, can't compare it to a full game" and then, resort to calling Killzone 2's gameplay awful when in fact, it's far from it. Just grow up. Fact is, Killzone 2 looks better from a technical standpoint (and imo from an art direction standpoint..Halo: Reach looks so clean and bright, look at all the bloom. That's not war at a...
I agree 100% QDog. That's also one of their main problems. Pretty much all of their peripherals are propriatory. The thing that grates me is that the 360 is a great system but it's being held back by some extremely ignorant and downright stupid design choices. It's a really backwards piece of hardware. Microsoft will struggle if they don't think, as you said, beyond Natal and DD. Those two things won't extend the 360's life cycle over night. They need to think of the bigger picture.
