Yo that sucks. Yeah they are beautiful that's why I was like wtf.
Where did I speak in glowing terms towards quantum break? I didn't bring it up lol. All I said was the storytelling was very similar aside from the actual tv episodes. And the action opened up more when the gameplay hit. Quantum break was a missed opportunity because the gunplay and powers could be fun but then they brought back the lame slow story. I criticized QB for the same reasons I criticized TLOU. One is lauded with praise but they are both the same crappy storytelling to me.
I like story driven games though.. I don't like cinematic style games 90% of the time and I do avoid them. I buy all kinds of games. I listen to all music except for country. Cinematic storytelling is my video game country music.
I don't want to see that style get trendy specifically with Sony studios. I don't want a cinematic infamous, I want a real infamous. Horizon started realllllly slow and cinematic but I'm liking it more since the world opened up. If...
Yes "he confirmed it". Meaning some idiot actually asked that question lmao. That's what I'm laughing at, not his questionable answer. "Yeah, uh, people say they look alike so you know".
What kind of idiot would notice that even if it was true? Who would be thinking of the last of us while watching GoT? Some fanatic goober, that's who. They are LITERALLY the last of the Lannisters lol.. it's not a reference to anything. An artificial nod ...
lol If you're not questioning then why bother replying the obvious? Yes we all have opinions and make different choices. Everyone has a desire to choose, only a slave obeys 😉. Yes people can make whatever they want. I don't stand in their way with my n4g comment lol. Chill.
What does any of that that have to do with what I said though? What, I'm not allowed to have an opinion on the matter? Of course I am so why question and casually remind me that my sh...
Yes its mine, pal. I own it. Don't get me wrong, I enoy movies and cinematic storytelling as much as anyone else. That's just not the kind of games I like to play.
When you add dynamic instead of cinematic into something like Detroit it becomes a completely different beast, right?
I love until dawn personally. I liked the wolf among us a lot. These "games" saving grace is the illusion of choice. It's a "choose your own adventure" book really. These games are all scripted right now, every option. Imagine characters reacting to you dynamically, the story and characters evolving dynamically. That's cool stuff ...
Wow brilliant. Don't buy it. That's all we can do really. That's the only reasonable thing*. I don't support the mob thuggery and extortion of left wing nutbags.
I don't buy certain games anymore unfortunately. "Millions others will!" Yeah I don't base my opinion on (or speak for) millions of others. Sorry not sorry. I gave uncharted 4 a chance because of my fondness towards the series and they ruined it in my opinion. I liked the end with ...
I played both and they are similar in pacing at many points. (Actual tv episodes aside) They are structured the same storytelling wise is what I'm trying to say. Time killing methods like slow walks with limited controls that would move faster in a regular cutscene.
Quantum break opened up a lot more because it was a super powers type game, obviously. More action and such. The last of us never really got to that point because it wasn't supposed to. It's a drama...
Thanks. Yeah it's definitely TV show material shoehorned into an interactive experience.
Yes. What we don't need is the other sony studios trying to copy them. One boring cinematic franchise is enough.
Yes. Good. Well done. We need to move towards dynamic and away from cinematic in gaming. Cinematic games tend to be boring. It's a 2 hour movie dragged out for 10-12 hours with slow walking and useless dialogue.
I forget who said it (probably Levine) but they said the great thing about games opposed to movies is that you get invested and immersed. It's not like movies where you are just watching characters on screen, you ARE the character on the screen. There is a ...
Yup. Do you see that mess painted on the front of her head? That's a face. I cant blame you for missing it though lol. It took me awhile to realize as well.
What are you even talking about? What do you think I said exactly? Read it again... You talk of logic and don't show any. Reverse or otherwise...
What's up with her face? She looks like an alien lol. Dope body though.
Stupid. That means somebody actually asked him that lol. "Hey when Jamie said 'the last of us' were you referencing the game?? Derp"
"Yeah, sure guy..."
"I'm not mad okay, I'm just disappointed."
@slappy
"They aren't the only ones"
Yeah, it's called an example. Moron... They are a good example of cinematic storytelling. The most successful for sure.
Jealous of what? I have an Xbox, 2 ps4s, a switch and a PC lol. Your random fanboy comments seem bitter.
There are many ways to tell stories. I have no issue with cutscenes to break up gameplay. When cutscenes ARE the gameplay then I have an issue. There is nothing deep or immersive about it, it's boring.
Never played halo 5, never finished gears 4. Love letter? I said it was just as bad as TLOU storytelling wise. Your guess is way off and built around fanboy emotions.
It's not one of the best games ever made. That's a joke worth falling off a chair for lol. I want Sony first party to be strong healthy. Not weak and boring with a bunch of ND clones.
