Yes true. The progressive era was terrible for both parties. World war 2 was the only thing that brought us out. Protectionism was a major factor in the decline of our economy though. It's a failed philosophy.

This is an issue where I severely disagree with Trump. A 35% tax will land the costs on consumers, it's not punishing these countries like it's intended. I dont think he will go from MGS5 design to an Until Dawn level of narrative focus lol. On the other hand MGS5 was severely lacking in his traditional way of cutscene storytelling and it suffered for that even though the gameplay was superb.
I think he rode both extremes with ridiculously long cutscenes and then void of any cutscenes at all. I think somewhere in the middle is where his mind is at and it will probably be dope.

Amy Hennig and Ken Levine are left wing hacks but their writing is phenomenal. Druckmann is nowhere close to them in terms of game writing. Maybe because they don't add their own personal bullshit into their stories, they just make good stories.
I don't base my opinion on what other people praise. I base it on my thoughts of his writing and directing. He's a worse director than he is a writer. He should write movies, not games.

Just because tariffs were around since the founding it doesn't mean the country was built on protectionism. Tariffs had very little effect on industry and made the economy worse more than it made it better.
The founders didn't have a "left" or the global economy that we do today. The "left" philosophy was imported from Europe at the beginning of the progressive era. That's not to say the founders didn't disagree, they hated each other'...
