Yeah I like Kurosawa films and such. I just find the feudal era of Japan and Japanese culture interesting. Even the yakuza dates back to that time if I'm not mistaken. The half naked ninjas rolling dice lol. The 80s were great too though so that was another aspect that I liked. I gave it a chance so we'll see. Nioh is the first game I've been super hyped about in a long time.

I agree but you can't judge it on merit when it's not even shown. We are 2 months away and that's plenty of time to build hype. Sounds great. I have never played a yakuza game before but I took a chance on this preorder awhile ago based on how bad Japan is killing it right now. In the first 3 months of 2017 I'm getting 4 Japanese games. That's probably a record for me.

Yes! The nioh demo sold me. I will probably buy neir as well based on the demo. A game I never would have looked twice at. The switches from 3D to 2.5D were interesting, there are some cool ideas in there. The pacing was great, the combat was decent. Keep the demos coming.

True. I recently bought dead rising 4 but that's about it for exclusives on my Xbox. Sea of thieves and crackdown look good as tech demos. Their cancellations outmatch their announcements lol. It's make you wonder what they spent all of that advertising on. That said, there are many reasons why somebody would buy an Xbox other than exclusives. Friends, 4K bluray, etc. All I'm saying is that even though they would be missing some good games they would be in no shortage of good game...

It's not as bad as you think. As long as you can make it back to where you died you can basically farm your level. Once you are level 10 those first enemies that killed you in one hit are fodder like they are supposed to be. In bloodborne it's much more difficult, death is death and you start over. You should give it another try this weekend. You will die a lot but you are never not "leveling up" unless you lose a bunch of xp by doing something stupid which really sucks lol....
There are so many high profile multiplats this year it doesn't even matter. My most anticipated is a PS4 exclusive, I bought a pro when they announced enhancements. if you don't want to buy another console you will still have plenty to play.
I liked the article. I have played the demos and i pretty much agree. I wouldn't compare it to soulsborne games though. It feels like the ninja gaiden team made a slower paced samurai game instead. Instead of flips and momentum it's legit sword stances and counters. The rpg elements and loot system put it over the top. It's going to be great.
