Nathan Drake and Kratos well deserve icon status. Uncharted 2 and God of War 2 aren't just great PlayStation games, they are some of the greatest games of all time. Sack boy is just adorable and unique. Aloy doesn't hold a candle to any of them. To say she is on equal footing is a joke. Laughable. She would need lobbyists, 40 articles and a petition to achieve what they earned as characters.
I would say an icon needs at least two solid titles under their belt.

Who is directing this game, druckmann? This has a ton of potential, they should let somebody else move up and take the steering wheel for a change. They need fresh blood from the old school of naughty dog design. Uncharted should be an action shooter, not a bore.

If naughty dog came out with a open world RPG I would be highly impressed and surprised. Unfortunately they have tripled down on narrative heavy ultra linear experiences. I don't think they have it in them anymore under their current leadership.
