They need first party studios to do that. If they are going to keep their main studios on their main IPs then they need some support. State of decay 2 is a good example, I'm hyped but they need more. The cancellations and liquidations hopefully lead to solid Scorpio support. That's a really hard sell though, it looks more like they want out of the software space by going the opposite direction and killing your exclusives.
