Well they've still to release FFXIII for japan, GT5 for Europe and GoWIII and Twisted Metal (if that is jaffe's mystery game) for NA and unlike those previous IPs which were new and labeled system sellers by nobodies, these are tried and tested IPs, So i guess we'll have to wait and see what happens when these games have been released
Its good to see the competition so evenly matched, it just means each company will have to pull out all the stops to outdo the other in games and services in quality and pricing, so in the end it'll be us that win, the gamers

PS1 slim and PS2 slim managed just fine but the original models suffered from DRE, compared to the PS3 its rare for the blu ray diode to die, so I doubt sony would go backwards with reliability rather than forwards like with the previous revisions
