That is an "old" PC way of thinking. GPU's are great but the technology behind the PS3's Cell for 4+ year old technology shows...scratch that ~ actually PROVE's a high end GPU is not the $#@! 100% needed.
Think about it. If the PS3, a CONSOLE I remind you, can put out visually amazing titles in the form of it's exclusives that get compared to PC's then a bell and a light bulb should be going on in & over your head.

There are benefits to using a controller for GT like quick lock to lock steering input and much quicker recovery gas/brake/reverse capabilities i.e. if you have your buttons setup where
[] is Gas (tip of thumb)
X is Brake (middle or joint of thumb)
O is Reverse
You can much more easily go from a dead stop (say you are straight on a barrier) by holding X + O to bounce the revs off the limiter in reverse to then let go of X (brake) for a quick b...

@ Silly gameAr ~ Exactly. Especially when you factor in that the PS3 has always been the most expensive console, at all times, and still managed to "close the gap". The next major price drop in 2011 (most likely) WILL be the point where the 360 cannot keep it's 2nd place "lead" even if they price drop it as well.
