The new game pad can also be used as a wii mote in a sense where you can move it around. There is most likely some sort of tracking ball inside that detects which direction you tilt the game pad. (also known as a Gyrosensor)

Still wish the Wii U came with New Super Mario Bros. U instead of Nintendo Land. I mean, all new Nintendo's should come with Mario.

Nope. Might when it drops drastically in price. I see nothing that warrent's it's current price and I don't like the new controller. And the pro-controller is $70.... no thanks. Not spending $70 on a piece of plastic.
