I like playing Battlefield but I haven't purchased a shooter since BF3 came out. Been enjoying Batman, Portal (technically not a shooter), Minecraft and i'm looking forward to Assassins Creed 3.
Unfortunately it's not an indie title. If it were, it would be found under the indie games tab on the dashboard.
Everthing the auther was complaining about doesn't effect me in the slightest. Probably because i'm actually spending more time playing games instead of sitting on the dashboard... :/

Love Minecraft. Do hope the second game (if they make one) has new shapes for us to build with such as 12 sided shapes for rocks and triangles like ice-cicles.

The franchise was fun. Rocksteady make good BATMAN games. Doesn't mean they can make a good Spider-Man or Iron-Man game.
If they did it would probably have a gritty over-tone which I do not fancy.

Yes it does. use the search box and type in "DICE" click on a server and if the server owner says "DICE" then it's official.

No. I run a server and it's full 24/7. Normal rules and map rotations with a slight ticket increase. (Because we all know 150 tickets isn't enough)
You can filter out official server by clicking on the "Show official EA servers" box.
I like not being forced to play terrible maps like Metro.

Call of Duty is a more tired series than BF.
They put out more games and use the same tech year after year. It get's stale really fast.
Where as EA are always pushing their games using new technology.
Call of Duty just isn't fun anymore. Hell, they messed up the Call of Duty: Classic game they released on the Arcade. Why was it limited to 8 players online with such dated graphics?
