I certainly hope it wasn't inspired by race, but with racial tensions sky-rocketing lately, it's not far fetched to believe it played a role.
To top it off, the media was dead silent about the whole thing. And you know, if the kid was black and the murderer was white.. this would be their fuel on the fire for months to come.
Fact: Jacob Blake got killed by a cop, likely poorly trained to act in such a way.
Narrative: The police are systematically murdering all African Americans and all white people are racist.
Big difference "dude''.
I'm not defending the police f-ing up their arrests, it's tragic and unnecessary. Which is why I think they need to be better trained to deal with high stress situations and not get itchy trigger fingers.
''Oh no, some people disagree with my victim narrative, therefore racism"
This exact logic is why people are fed up with these movements.
Also, if you do want to cry about something, an innocent (white) kid called Cannon Hinnant was recently shot point blank in the head by a black man for no other reason than being white.
But of course nothing but silence and crickets on that right? Yeah.
Don't support hate groups.

An AR can act as a good disincentive for people trying to loot your home/business. Kind of like how burglars tend to avoid homes with dogs. It can actually prevent violence.
I think the problem lies more with people regarding every dirty joke or physical contact as ''assault'' or ''harassment'' .
I wouldn't want to work in a place that constantly monitors my every step and sneeze. I know it's an unpopular opinion.. and I certainly don't condone actual assault (i.e groping or punching) but I really do believe people have gotten so soft and timid that you can't even look at a person or they'll file a ...
The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne were pretty amazing experiences. Bless the gaming Gods for releasing them in the same year too.
To be fair, that says more about the times we live in today than the game itself imo.
It seems almost every AAA title gets either crapped on or put on a pedestal in regards to politics.
Not liking the game = you're now a woman hater.. apparently.
Yeah, I don't understand why some people (such as this author) place such a huge importance on games having a political stance. As if they can't enjoy a game that isn't heavily politicized. Real shame we're at this point with what used to be a relaxing and carefree hobby.
Have money, will buy.
"High quality'' as in unfinished/unpolished releases and full of MTs? Sure
I'd just like to say.. this game came out 5 years ago, and is still getting quality support. Looks like I'll be reinstalling Dying Light again.
That thumbnail though.
Im still waiting for my Doom copy, damn virus has the local game store closed indefinitely.
Oh? okay, I'm guessing it's no longer an early access game then.. In which case I'll give it a try.
Again.. it's just a game. And who knows, that demo might not be ready for public release for whatever technical reason, or subtle changes have been made since that time based on feedback, not accurately representing the final game.
What's with all the overly emotional reactions? I get the disappointment over a delay but damn, one would think recent events would have people re-evaluate their priorities a little.
Great to see idSoft rolling hard again. Be picking this up very soon
Or purchase on sales only.. which is what I will likely be doing.
