AC2 is covered in flaws, the more you play it and look at it, the worse it looks. Graphics, animations, dialogues, script...It's still my favorite AC and one of my favorite games this gen, but it's far from genre definer or game of this gen.
IMO the game that would be this gen greatest game is Uncharted 2. It was fresh, it revolutionize the genre and influenced every single game after it launched.
It will certainly look more beautiful and impressive than the generic art direction from Crysis

No, the OUYA won't stand a chance if it tries to compete with the big 3. It has its niche and could be a sucess if it caters that niche. But don't expect it to sell millions.
It's not Sony's fault, it's Japan Studios fault. Just like it was Polyphony's fault with GT5. I prefer them to be delayed or even cancelled than to be launch and be incomplete or just plain mediocre (like Duke Nukem for example).
Most people here have only seen Uncharted's and Killzone's graphics through youtube and don't know how the real thing looks like. As I said before in a post, the Uncharted 3's desert sequence is perhaps the most visually impressive segment of gameplay of this generation. Just look at Beyond and TLOU. And even GoW Ascension. The PS3 is at the end of its life cycle, but it still has some power.
The Xbox only has the rehashed Halo 4 and Forza Horizon for this Holiday (along with BLOPS2 which is like their most precious 'exclusive'). They've had no exclusives this year, AT ALL. The PS3 has been low on exclusives (compared to last couple of yeas), but it still has some (it had Starhawk, Twisted Metal, now LBP Karting, PASBR). Just not AAA titles, more niche titles.
But what about next year? GoW and Beyond droping right in the beginning of the year? TLOU com...
Somehow I like the supernatural feel Cage is trying to go with that ghost and afterlife stuff. If he can really touch and explore the definition and emotions of death, this can really be something amazing. I just want some fresh experience as well, more solid gameplay mechanics, QTE's are ok if used wisely.
The plane crash sequence followed by the desert scene and the ghost town are still to be beaten by any game (even on pc) nowadays, it's just too damn good, both gameplay and graphic wise. I still can't understand people who completely bash UC3 when it has such mindblowing moments.
Heavy Rain might not have the best gameplay mechanics around, but damn, that was some good story and characters, thats for sure. Too much QTE's and bs interactive moments, but there were some memorable experiences as well. Heavy Rain is highly underrated just because it's diferent. I sincerely wouldn't trade my ps3 slim for the super slim. But what about people who still dont have a ps3? A bundle with FIFA and Uncharted 3 seems like a great deal.

I play games, not consoles. And console games have been far superior to pc exclusives. Even the best looking games of the past few years have been console exclusives. How can you explain that? Devs are superior, not the hardware.

I think Sony will drop a massive bomb towards the launch of the Wii U. Something related to either TLOU or TLG just to steal the spotlight from Nintendo. Atleast that would be a smart move, so I doubt Sony will ever do that.
This game is looking stunning. And what I most like about it is that ND is not worried about the hype. They want this hype, they created this hype. They talk about revolution, innovation and they won't disappoint.
It's survival but it doesn't depende on stupid cliche scary monsters like Dead Space or Resident Evil. It's all about the characters and the world and environment around them. It's all about context.

Half of the people in this thread bashing UC3 probably never touched it and played it. Uncharted 3 may be a disapointment following the enormous hype left by UC2 (which is not only one of the best games of this gen, but the game that defined this gen).
Besides, UC3 was made by ND 2nd team. It had much better set pieces, a so-so story, nice characters and it had some of the best moments in video game history (the desert, the plane crash, the cruise sequence, the burning chatea...
FIFA = more realistic animations, a lot of fun, a lot of licenses, great game modes (UT, LS, etc)
PES = more competitive (due to more arcadish gameplay), best career mode, best graphics (atleast player faces)
I wonder how big the jump will be when FIFA14 will began using Frostbite 2.
Same with me, only had 2 freezes that stopped me from playing, then some lag, but nothing game breaking. Loadings time are pretty terrible, but I got used to it. It still has a lot of bugs and glitches which can fuck up missions, but that's just awful game design and bad QA.
I see it as Nintendo goes for the casual, Xbox goes for entertainment and Sony is the only one caring about gaming. Atleast that was the impression each company gave me at the last E3.
